@@zechssiguro7476 A meditation teacher taught me a trick which made a lot of difference: when the first signs of a migraine come up, detach from thinking about the previous one and think what you can do right here, right now to prevent this headache from turning into a full blown migraine. Disconnecting from the emotional burden makes a lot of difference. But as a former computer programmer: life style (nowadays way too much time staring at a screen) has a large impact. Burdening your eyes and brain in excess is something to be weary about.

Thank you so much for this informative video. As a US Veteran, qigong and mindfulness have become an integral part of my spiritual, physical, and mental fitness regimen in order to deal / heal from PTSD and other disabilities. Curious enough, I got introduced to all of these amazing disciplines through the Veterans Affairs “Whole Health” program. They even now have acupuncture services, which are a true blessing for us who suffer from chronic pain. It may have taken a long time, but western medicine is finally recognizing the immense value of these ancient Chinese practices for helping our “vessel”.

Dear Dr. Hui, I would like to thank you for this practice from the bottom of my heart. Today it's the 5th day that I've been doing this practice and I absolutely love it. It makes me feel so enthusiastic, happy and full of life that is unbelievable. The recommended 3 repetitions not seem to be enough for me. After completing my 3 repetitions by midday I simply miss it so much that I end up doing more and more repetitions later in the day. I reckon on average I end up doing at least 6 repetitions in a day (with 81 tappings). My digestions is better, I sleep soundly, have a lot more energy, my concentration is much better, I am more creative ... and the most importantly I feel that everything is possible. It's like being in my 20is again. Amazing :)

@@jayumble8390 the first I'm saying indeed. TCM is ancient hogwash. Heavily supported and promoted by the government because of economics and misplaced cultural pride (just like for instance traditional martial arts, great for the body, but not great for fighting, and full of hogwash about Qi and whatnot).. Of course the placebo effect and some rare and vague areas in which for instance acupuncture does work together make people believe it really works wonders. WHAT health benefits do you actually get?
@michaelfforte Жыл бұрын
@@brianedwardsu7404 Excellent question - I would say the answers can vary. The larger view of what he is presenting is based on our bodies having a system of energy channels that are related to but not specific to our organs (ie liver channel, bladder, spleen, kidney, etc) Blockages in these channels cause dis-ease. Blockages can be from bad diet, injury, lack of exercise, overuse, misuse, pollution, drugs, alcohol, anything in excess (or deficiency), etc. The tapping sequence will help to unblock the channels. Think of a stream with some mud in it. If you take a stick and tap away the mud, suddenly the stream is flowing smoothly again. Each of us is unique in what is going on in our bodies. The tapping sequence is to promote the opening of all channels. A general approach to keep the energy/blood flow/Qi/bio-electricity flowing smoothly. For some people the benefits may be headaches may resolve, others, less muscle aches, others, better digestion. Health and healing are complex. Your question was very good.

I do a practice in Qi Gong where you start at the top of the head cupping for a count of 9, then clap your hands, moving onto the inner elbow, arm put, upper chest, thymus gland, lower ribs and under my breast . I do this for a count of three (36 total). Then press on the upper abdomen just under the rib cage . This stimulates the lymphatic system as well as the meridians. You move on to the lower extremities to the souls of the feet not forgetting to reach back to kidneys. Feels so good.

One master also showed me a non-contact method of such fitness. With this method, pressing movements are performed with an open palm over those areas of the body that you showed in your video. The distance between the palm and the skin of the body is from 10 to 15 cm. Also at this distance, circular movements are made in both directions. At the same time, various body reactions are noted in response.😀

Thirty years ago my friend and her husband took under their wing an elderly gentleman (in his 80's), who had Parkinson's. He was restricted to wheelchair movement only, was overweight, weak, depressed, and on four medications for the illness. They fed him a strict macrobiotic wholefood vegeterian diet. After only a few weeks he dropped two of the medications. His strength returned in time and he was able to walk again and dispensed with the wheelchair. The other two medications were dropped after a couple of months. He had a new lease of life - could shop for himself, and do normal daily activities. His great joy was to be able to play with his grandchildren. I get very demoralised when I here such things as a billion dollars raised for research into PD. Great that people are contributing, but do we need a laboratory and a microscope to find the cause. No, we need to pull the lense way back and observe the day to day habits we all enact - particularly what we put in our bodies (IE: food and drink). We're being too clever to see the obvious! parkinsons disease is man made from all the pesticides and chemicals we have used and injested in the food we eat .A recent University of California, Davis study found that pregnant women living near fields treated with the pesticide chlorpyrifos were three times more likely to have a child with autism. In addition, prenatal exposure to chlorpyrifos has been linked to anomalies in the brain’s surface, causing lower IQs. Early childhood exposure has been linked to developmental delays. California counties with highest use of chlorpyrifos, including agricultural uses and nonagricultural uses, such as landscaping, mosquito control and, before 2001, residential fumigation Chlorpyrifos belongs to a particularly toxic family of pesticides called organophosphates. These pesticides work as neurotoxins to kill insects. In bigger doses, they’re also neurotoxins for humans. Chlorpyrifos used to be commonly used inside peoples’ homes to control insects. I started researching chemical use in the US back about 20 years ago. I eliminated almost all conventional cleaners, went organic, used natural personal care products, refused chemical carpet cleaners, avoided anything listed as scented, non-stick or water / dirt proof, etc. I've saved money and feel I've protected my family and myself to a great extent.Chinese say two things ---> ;all disease enters throught the mouth ......----> The secret to life is DICIPLINE". -

Preach, Brother! I started in the late ‘70s. No sugar, then in 1991, no grains unless organically grown. Never got fat even though I do not restrict the amount of fat I eat, just the kind and quality of the fats. At 75, still rode a horse unassisted, including the grooming and tacking up. You are what you eat, drink, breathe, and rub on your body.
