Awesome video guys - as usual! WTH is all this about the root of the onion? LOL The root holds the segments of the onion together while he cuts it up people - nothing more. Tears are caused by the vapors, fumes, or even actual juices released from the onion during cutting. That root isn't changing anything about that fact. I was laughing right along with you Jeff - you laughing at him even made me laugh more. What are people thinking? Hilarious! As for the tacos, I am looking forward to doing this exact thing. I never thought of doing it this way. Just one more time that you guys are gonna make me look like a friggin hero at the campground - or here at home for that matter. Also, I would LOVE to see a drinking game LIVE stream with you guys.

Question for you guys. We’re thinking of trying a spatchcock turnkey on the griddle to see if would work for thanksgiving. Could we get your opinion?
@TheGriddleGuys3 жыл бұрын
I would think that would be a really tough one. Definitely would need a dome. Thinking high heat , try and get a sear on the skin, flip , dome then drop temp. 🤔 might still have some soggy skin on the edges but could work. I would test before the family shows up. Lol. Good luck and let us know how it works out
@mcampbell66513 жыл бұрын
@@TheGriddleGuys We're testing as soon as the weather turns nice again, we're in RI and it's all rain. We were thinking of weighing it down with cast Iron weights, pans, bacon press etc, on both breasts, and legs separately then doming it. Kinda like a spactchcock chicken which works great on the griddle. That's where the idea comes from. If you haven't tried this with a chicken you should.

Love this idea on the griddle.... But here's another technique you might wanna try... Fill the shells with meat and cheese before you heat them on the griddle... Then they don't close and they won't crack either when you eat them... The grease from the meat softens the bottom just ever so slightly to prevent cracking and then your cheese is melted as well
@TheGriddleGuys3 жыл бұрын
Good ideas .. Issue with the shells I always end up buying is that they taste stale if you don't precook them. Like borderline soggy stale. Weird. So it's finding that balance of crunch vs ease of eating. Lol.
