Definitely one of the best techniques for early cold water cranking. I've used this pattern for years and it rocks. Thanks for sharing

30 yrs ago found this out on Lk Hartwell..... Nowadays I will go between a 3/4 oz blade and the crankbait...one always seems to work... easy to get deep with the blade...

Would it be better on sunny days when the rocks are holding heat?

Great video as always Johnny!! I think im gonna have to try these techniques next time im out. Question about the deep dive app, is there any plan to incorporate contour line maps? Really wish deep dive gets em so I can stop using a different app. Tight lines!!!

I have the same request on Deepdive. Great app. I use it out of my kayak and having contours would make it perfect for me.

What if your lake doesn't have Rip Rock or natural rock piles. Whats your next go to thing to look for visually?

Johnny, what about winter fishing when lake levels are very low, say 7-9 feet low. Rip rap still applies but that kind of lake levels throws my traditional methods way off. My home lake is about 8 feet low now for Dam repairs. Good scouting for structures but confusing to fish.
