it wasnt stated in the bet and the rule they clearly state is "unless explicitely stated these bets ONLY pertain to what happens on the conferences" (the exceptions were things like "will animal crossing characters roam the floor") and the whole "it was shown at the contest so it doesn't count" doesn't make sense, first, you can announce something multiple times, and second if they really meant it that way, the bet should've been worded like "Will FF7 remake release date be announced FOR THE FIRST TIME during a conference?" Bosman is the master of trying to find ridiculous "loopholes" may I remind you of the whole "a link to the past lets play" debacle?

Owwww, come on. A participant made a very specific question about the condiotions of the bet. He made his bet based on the answer he received. He made his bet based on the conditions of said bet. Then, when it is time to give the results, the very specific conditions of the bet are changed. The bet conditions said player was given ARE different from the conditions used to determine the pay out. That is beyond illegal. No wonder Don skipped town. Callum Hendry I'm not upset about it, it just takes the air out of the betting specials when they change rules at the last second. I remember E3 2015 when Shenmue 3 was announced. I had no idea what that game was but I knew Huber wanted it badly so I jumped when I saw it announced. I immediately turned on their livestream to see their reactions and Huber was crying from joy. I'm just saying that this ruling kinda takes the wind out of watching E3 and seeing which bets they won.

That makes it good, and also, the most important point: IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY MATTER! THEY'RE BETTING DON BUCKS OVER STUFF LIKE, WILL A LIZARD DO A KICKFLIP????? FFS..... If the bet is "No" for a FF7 release date announcement, you're not betting that it will be announced beforehand during a concert, or on twitter, you're betting that it will not be announced during the show. That's the intent of that bet. And it was announced. I would call it a simultaneous announcement if it happens within a 24-hour window.

Announce has a couple of meanings, but none of them are “to be the first to claim”. You can announce the same thing over and over and it’s still an announcement, which happened at SE’s press conference. If the bet would’ve been “will the release date premier at the conference” that’d be different... just my two cents, Love & Respect!

I'm on a mission. I call a moratorium on "Literally". If one means "Actually" say, "Actually". If one wants to add emphasis say, "Really", "Truly", "Super", "Absolutely", or the like. If one means "Figuratively" --- well, that one shouldn't have to be said --- but since absolutely it does, say, "Figuratively".
