Yes that’s a lot of soy milk. I use rolled oats, cooked in water. It goes milky anyway. Occasionally I add a splash of soy milk or almond milk but it doesn’t really need it unless I’ve cooked it too long.

First, your dad is HILARIOUS. Second, I love that your family does the peanut butter and saltines too! My mom and older brother do half a plate of peanut butter ones and the other mayo! Lol I've never heard of anyone else doing this until today. 🤣

I’m confused as to why you can’t eat oil. Does that mean olive oil as well?

Nearly fell over laughing when your dad pronounced corn “correctly”🤣...I live in California, but was born (& whole family is still in) Boston area. I am loving this series already. Thank you!

I’ve never heard it pronounced that way either here in Australia or New Zealand where I grew up. Sounded like he said “caan”. Is that right?
@AmpuTeeHee4 жыл бұрын
Sugarplum K in the Boston area, the R is missing. Like the infamous “pahk da cahh” (park the car LOL!)
@sugarplumk23814 жыл бұрын
BonnieB aka AmpuTeeHee Haha, that’s funny. It has got an R in it. 😂. I say corn like born or torn 🤷♀️ But then again, we don’t emphasise the Rs like Americans do. We do say Paak the caah. Linguistics is an interesting subject for sure.

What about unsweetened almond milk as a substitute? Or oat milk?
@beverlysnow9315 Жыл бұрын
I use unsweetened almond milk. Only 40 per cup, no sugar added. I have it in my cold brew coffee and and my overnight oats.

I too have flaxseed in my oatmeal but do you recommend grinding it first? I usually just scoop the seeds in whole.

Great video and tweaks to Emmies mums diet. I don't use soy milk in coffee but rather have it black or use unsweetened oatly. Oil is the most pointless processed foods there is and even i struggle to remove oil from my diet. I don't eat vegan cheese too often because unfortunately the majority of the brands in the UK contain coconut oil which i want to avoid because i don't want to have a heart attack which i risk with coconut oil and other oils.
