Great Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you thought about - Dinanlinson Amazing Look Approach (just google it)? It is a great one of a kind product for learning how to quickly lose weight without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend Sam after many years got cool results with it.

Intermittent fasting is the key to losing weight and during your non fasting hours you can eat what ever you want to eat! I fast the 16 hrs / 8 hours eat mode!

I eat whatever i want and still lose weight. Ive had 3 kids. Im over 30 and still lose weight. My doctor struggles to lose weight and asked me what I did to lose 40 pounds within 7 months after my 3rd kid. I said well... eat less, move more. I also eat way less times per day. 3 meals some snacks too. 500-600 calories each time. I log everything. It’s super doable. Every time I’ve ever consistently logged my food i always lose weight without fail. People think it’s hard but we eat terribly in our current society. But we don’t track what we put in our mouth. i dont time my eating patterns. I eat when im hungry. Eat till im satisfied and don’t eat again till im hungry again. I also eat almost the same thing every day. Protein or breakfast bar on the way to work. Bacon and oatmeal for breakfast. Turkey and swiss sandwich for lunch with fruit if it’s in season. And a sensible dinner, one full plate. I may or may not eat dessert. But if it’s there and I want it, i eat it. I always had weight issues and was in tears wondering how to lose weight that wouldn’t come off... till i started logging and realized how much i was actually ingesting. I don’t agree eat “whatever” you want. I just don’t. Eating more than your BMR and what calories you use you will gain weight. Intermittent fasting will make you eat less and your hunger triggers will definitely be less pronounced. So i guess “eat whatever you want” could be true but not in the actual definition of “whatever”. Whatever you want does start to change as you eat more reasonably.

Ok guys for those who don’t know what he’s talking about he is talking about fasting called 16:8 it works but if you want faster results try 23:1 eat whatever you want till you are satisfied especially if you are new to this, eat more it will help you throughout the first 2 weeks then while fasting only drink water or black coffe NOOO SWEETS!!! Then eat again when you’ve reach 23 hours it works !!GOODLUCK

Just eat the same 8 hours every day. If you want to eat at 3pm you can eat from 3pm-11pm because that's 8 hours.

Lmao this explains so much because I used to never eat breakfast and i'd stay thin, now i'm exercising lowering my calories but still eating most of my calories in the morning (which is rather early) and i haven't really lost anything.

Yeah I used to get up late running out to the bus without breakfast and didn’t have time to bring my lunch so I wouldn’t eat all day at school of course make it through gym class also.then eat when I got home a snack or dinner

It works, proven. I do exactly the same and I have lost almost 8kg without restricting myself too much. At the beginning it was hard for me to adapt my body to it but now it kinda became a routine that I stop eating at 5-6pm. And I don't cut down on anything, eg I eat chocolate and 2-3 cookies almost everyday as a snack. Just doing a 15 min workout 3 times a week . And I wasn't even fat before just a bit more chubby. And just try to noz categorize food as good or bad since this will cause binge esting or lead to eating disorders . Good luck !!❣

I like the idea that you can eat what you want within reason in intermittent fasting. As long as you get your daily nutrition and vitamins, fruit, veggies etc. You can finish thr rest of your calories with junk food and burn it off with ease and lose weight.

I actually started this up again. I get the fastest results with this. I hike 3miles in a day, while in a fasted state. My challenge in october is 6 miles per day. Just to see if I can. I will try to add in some more protein, and up my cals just a tad. I agree with everything in your video. Fasting is amazing.I still eat things I like I just dont go insane. Thank you for your post, very great info!

You can do your window of eating anytime you want. Start at 8 hrs then tighten window slowly or some people keep the 8 HR window.

Which year at chiropractic school do they focus on nutrition? Tell us about about spinal manipulation and good posture techniques, or should we take that advice from nutritionists? If you are gonna self educate on metabolism and weight loss at least cite some studies. As someone in the science community you should know that you need to show peer reviewed studies for proof of your claims

Depends on the type of exercise. You can do cardio or restorative during fasting, but most people suggest having some calories when weight lifting

Now I truly understand!! 😭🙈 okay so I’ll fast for 16 hours and eat for 8 hours, during that fasting state, I can only drink water or coffee! can I drink coffee during the fasting state? Like a bulletproof coffee? Because I looooveee coffee, and I don’t know if I can truly go on into my day without coffee with a splash of creamer...😂 and do I have to count calories??? Because ugh 😣 I really don’t have time for all of that

Hi Christi, thank you for your comment. You can drink black coffee during the fasting state, but you cannot add creamer or sugar. You cannot consume any calories during the fasting state, which is why you cannot have creamer in your coffee, it must be black. Bulletproof coffee is ok as long as it is consumed black with nothing added to it. You do not have to count calories when intermittent fasting.

fast from 5pm - 9am is great! give it a shot. the best thing about intermittent fasting is you pick the time and as long as you stick with it you will see results. good luck!

This is great. Thank u for sharing. I get the eat within 8 hrs timeline, my question is: 1. I wake at 5am, I start eating my first meal around 12ish, can I still have walnuts or Brazil nuts when I wake up? Or should I leave that for after 12ish? Thank you!! It’s day 3 of me trying this. Ps: I drink about 2-4 liters of water a day.

Anything that has calories in it cannot be consumed while you are fasting. So no, you cannot have any nuts until you decide to break your fast, which sounds like you are doing at noon. Nuts at noon, my friend.

What you're describing is One Meal A Day or OMAD. And yes, that will work.

Thanks Doc. You've given me hope. I've been on Keto for about one month and while I feel great at times, there's other days where I feel terrible. Not making excuses to get back into eating carbs but I do feel like the body does need carbohydrates from time to time. They say never to cheat on Keto but honestly I do it once a week and I lose weight. It keeps me on the diet. But I've been a bit stagnant at around the 220 lbs range. I really want to try out your method and see if it works but im worried it might set me back. Any advice? I'm a pretty build guy so I've never worried about what I ate until I got to my late 20s. Now I feel like my metabolism has slowed down.

Yes. Don't worry. That doesn't work... In anything. Stick to the same schedule daily for intermittent fasting. Keto can be challenging at times. If you like it though, do both IF and keto at the same time. A cheat meal is frequently used in successful weight loss programs and body builders' diets. If it's working for you, keep it. Also, it's a long game.... One month isn't a long amount of time and if you're already seeing results, be excited. Stick with it!

Fasting requires no restrictions regarding carbs. That said, not all carbs are created equally. Add carbs slowly, healthier ones first, if you want to be cautious.

Water till noon. Eat food whatever. Eat again if u want to. Eat again but not if your getting sleepy. Always drink water. Imagine watering yourself before and after u Ingest stuff.

Well..If u are training like twice a day..let's say in the morning the first thing u do is to run outside for 15/20 minutes..since in your body there is no food,it consumes the "storage"..and let's take for example if we eat something that contains fat in launch...we can use the food as a source of energy not to be transformed into fat..when I finish my dinner I usually go out for a walk,and I'm turning the food into energy..all we gotta do is to have a life where we walk,run or doing these kinds of activities since food=energy..if we don't exercise and if we keep eating junk foods or sugar,the body dosnt need that much energy and it goes to the storage...I don't think someone should skip breakfast,after a while it has the yoyo effect just like the people who refuses to eat just to loose weight,I'm in a family with doctors,they've been studying for years about the human body so I trust them.

You can cheat on the weekends but it won't be as effective. You can show your mom the benefits of fasting if you think she would come around to the idea.

Not really. It helps if you’ve never exercised before and just started doing it, but when you keep pushing yourself to do more and more, you’ll overdo it and weight won’t change

You can exercise when fasting but it depends on how long you have fasted and it depends on what type of exercise you are doing. Use common sense and exercise within your known limitations when you are fasting. For example if I ate dinner the night before and that was my last meal then I will certainly work out at any point the following day and then I will eat dinner again. If I am fasting for greater than 36 to 48 hours then I will modify the workout or just skip it. Pay attention to how you feel and it should be fine

It is unrelated to your work schedule. You only need to eat within an 8 hour window of your choice and fast the other 16 hours. The fasting window should occur while sleeping. You and your daughter have different work schedules and I'm assuming different sleep schedules. Therefore, if you'd like to share some meals together I would try to find some overlap in eating windows. Thanks for your comment and best of luck to both of you!

By growing I assume you are a minor. I'm not going to tell you what to do. It's up to you regarding that. It also depends on your current health status and what you would like to achieve health wise.

@@oshazfatima5502 There are many things that factor in to weight loss. Look at how much you are sleeping. Ensure that you sleep 7-9 hours a night. Go check your blood lab levels with a doctor. You might have something affecting your metabolism.

That’s a really lovely diet I like it and I’m gonna try it But i have a question doc regarding exercises should i do it during fasting hours or it’s better during the 8 hours of eating? And if I exercise at morning won’t i feel tired because I haven’t eaten anything?

Exercising at the end of fasting hours has been shown to be quite effective. No you won't feel tired if you exercise while fasting

Dude, just select 8 hours out of the 24 hour day were you will eat. The other 16 hours you sleep and consume non calorie beverages.

You cannot drink zero sugar soda during your fasting window. I don't recommend any artificial sweeteners for weight loss - dump them. Depending on your previous lifestyle before beginning fasting, you can lose weight within 24 hours.

I'm doing Omad 23/1 for 7 days now and I lost some weight but I eat fried chicken and icecream and salad should I change my diet ? If I do I feel it's really hard and I don't want to go keto. The meal is 1100 calories and has good protein and 50-60 gram carbs should I stop it ?

If you're asking if you should change your food choices, I think you already know the answer. While IF is more forgiving with food choices with regards to weight loss, it's still important to ensure you get your daily value of vitamins and minerals. Eating the same thing daily is not recommended for this reason. Salad is always a good option for daily consumption because not all salads have the same ingredients. Vary your proteins and keep the ice cream as a treat

The problem isn't the carbs it's the sugar. Try to limit ice cream intake. Also depending on the brand there could be other ingredients detrimental to your health. A good guideline to follow is the less ingredients the better. Another good one is if you can't pronounce the ingredient you will want to shy away as well. A good substitute for ice cream is yogurt or you could even take a banana, mash it up, and freeze it.

you can do all of that! working out will definitely speed up the process but be mindful of putting your body under drastic changes. if you are mainly sedentary and decide to work out vigorously, or if you eat regularly and decide to begin fasting, start slowly. there's no need to go from 0-100. pay attention to how you feel while you work out and fast. green tea? sounds great!

1. You do not have to eat healthy items for this to work, but I encourage you to make healthier choices. 2. It could be any of your favorite foods. The point is, you do not have to eliminate anything from your current diet. 3. For supper, you just eat whatever you'd like to so long as it is during your eating window. 4. During the 16 hour fast, you cannot consume any calories or artificial sweeteners. You can consume water, club soda, black tea, unsweetened iced tea, black coffee, or black iced coffee in unlimited amounts. 5. You're welcome, good luck, and remember, you can do it!

Many of my colleagues, famous actors preparing their physiques for movie rolls, and athletes do this diet in conjunction with exercise. I myself IF daily and exercise hard daily. It is suitable for someone who exercises throughout the week. Pay attention to how you feel and exercise / IF within your limits.

I am so confused. There is too much info on weight loss..I'm not sure which is healthy, most effective to follow. I have been fasting for 7 days now and added in cardio and planking routines. I drink tons and tons of water.. I see no results. I do feel less sluggish, less bloated; but I have yet to see any physical changes. I am in good shape when it comes to planking and exercising- no problems there. It is losing the love handles that have decided to cuddle so nicely onto my hips...lol...I need to let them go!! If anyone has other ideas please let me know. I am a 41 year old woman, 5'7. I'm not "overweight", but I need to lose my kids on my sides. LOL.

You're right - there is a lot of information on weight loss out there. This is a good and bad thing. It's good because there are many options. It's bad because it's overwhelming. As far as weight loss goes with intermittent fasting, 7 days is not enough time to "see" results. It's great that you are feeling results though - a sign you are on the right track. What I would suggest is to cut down to a 6 hour eating window rather than an 8 hour window if you can handle it. I would also recommend doing some weight bearing exercise. Cardio is fantastic for your health, but is not as effective as weight bearing exercise to burn fat and build muscle. After a solid month of intermittent fasting, if you do not see results, that's okay, it's probably not for you. Like I said previously, there are many diets out there. Look into other options and try each for at least a month until you do see results. Best of luck on your journey and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Ok let's get something straight here. Just because you partake in intermittent fasting doesn't mean you can eat anything you want. You still need a healthy balanced diet. Just because you are losing a few pounds doesn't mean it's in a healthy manner. For example, if I just decided to eat 1000 calories worth of garbage each day then I would lose weight. Why? Because I would be in a caloric deficit. Is that the healthy way to lose weight? Of course not. Also, do not intermittent fast if you are an athlete. Constant vigorous training requires constant nutrition. It's extremely difficult to build muscle while intermittent fasting.

Athletes and actors IF to get the physique and performance they are looking for. If you watched the full video...which it doesn't sound like you did...it is discussed that eventually your relationship with food changes as you IF. At some point during the weight loss process, you begin making healthier food choices. IF initially gives those who have lost hope regarding weight loss because they do lose weight right away. Re-watch the full video if you feel like it.

People say all sorts of things, especially in regard to diet. There is no "supposed to", there is only what works for you. I for one, eat within an 8 hour window. Some people eat one meal a day. Both are fasting diets. It's up to you which you'd like to try, but if you're new at fasting I recommend the 8 hour eating window, it'll be much easier

You're making it too complicated. It's not what you have to eat everyday. It's what you eat during which times. Eat whatever you want during an 8 hour time period. The rest of the day, fast. During your fast, you may only have black coffee, plain tea, water, and carbonated water.

You can take vitamins, but not instead of eating fruits and vegetables. Vegetables and fruits have fiber and healthy energy. Vitamins do not have calories typically and they do not provide any fiber. It is best to get your vitamins and minerals from real food.

Me in elementary eating everything I want and always keeping my mouth full with carbs and sweets but still have a normal weight and gained 1 to 2 kg a year for the past 12 years me went to highschool thinking I am fat when I saw the higher year then eating less every time I feel like I want food I keep my mouth full of warm water then I loose 5 kg in just 2 weeks but didnt loose weight and dont gain weight again the whole year me in summer I am thin I can eat what ever I want then in 3 months later I gained 5 kg and me back to school I should do what I did before to be thin again but this time with exercise me doing it like last time but still gained another 5 kg me asking my self why

No. If you plan on shifting your eating window, just ensure at least a 16 hour fast until eating and a max 8 hour eating window. Ex: usually eating 12pm to 8pm. Want to eat until 10pm? Don't eat until 2pm. Want to go back? Just stop at 8 so you're only eating 2-8. Next day back to 12-8

So can I eat Ben and Jerry's ice cream too with one of my meal if I'm doing intermittent fasting and don't exceed my calorie deficit? I'll still lose weight with this way of eating? Yes you can eat any type of ice cream, not just Ben and Jerry's! I don't even count calories. I just eat within my window and I'm good. If you watch the video though, you'll hear me state that as you continue with the diet, you end up making better food choices. If you were to eat junk food only for consecutive eating windows, you'll feel crummy and you'll have to wait for your next eating window to get some more wholesome foods in. You'll actually look forward to eating some fruit and vegetables.

1. No it would not be more effective to begin eating at 3pm vs. 10am. As long as you are eating within an 8 hour window you're fine. 2. Well that would mean you are awake for 16 hours a day, which isn't too different from most people. The difference is you're on a nocturnal schedule. If I were you, I would eat my first meal around 8pm and stop eating at 4am. Most importantly, however, do what works for you. Commit to an 8 hour eating window and don't consume calories outside of those times. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for everyone. If it's better for you to eat from 10pm to 6am then try that. Just commit to an 8 hour eating window with a 16 hour fast and you're off to a great start. After that, you can try a 6 hour eating window with an 18 hour fast. Have fun with it and pay attention to how you're feeling. Irritated? Annoyed? That'll pass as you get used to it. Light headed? Dizzy? Eat something and stop eating 8 hours from that point.

The day has 24 hours. For a woman, you should be eating during a consecutive 10 hours. Example 10am to 8pm. After 8pm you do not consume calories, only water. You wait a full 14 hours before consuming calories again. So everyday eat from 10am to 8pm and eat no calories from 8pm to 10am

You could do that, and lose weight, yes. What you'll learn by doing this though, is you might not feel so great living on fast food. You only have 8 hours to eat. A patient of mine started this by eating 5 guys. And he had the exact same response I did. "Man, it's great eating whatever, but I need an apple or something. Gonna have to do that in my next eating window." Try it!

If the diet you are currently on is working, might as well stick to it! If it's not, then start up your intermittent fasting! As a lady it's even easier. Just consume your calories in a 10 hour eating window, and fast for 14 hours. An example would be consuming calories from 11AM to 9PM, eating whatever you want, and fasting (NO CALORIES OR ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS) from 9PM to 11AM. Do keep in mind you do not have to choose the hours I used in the example. Pick any 10 hour window you'd like but STICK TO IT and you'll be fine! Good luck!

it would depend on why you get sick if you don't eat breakfast and what you mean by "sick". you may want to consult a physician to look into metabolic issues
