Most people think of Mexican Spanish as being easy/basic but it is not. Mexican people use words I have never heard of and can be difficult to understand. @LuisFlores-ls4yy
@LuisFlores-ls4yy 3 жыл бұрын
@@EatBailaTravel Actually, it's really easy to get since you already have your Curp. Just go to this website www.sat.gob.mx/tramites/28753/obten-tu-rfc-con-la-clave-unica-de-registro-de-poblacion-curp then go to Tramites del RFC which is right in the top middle of the page. From there just pick Obten tu RFC con la clave de registro. You just need to enter your curp and a permanent address in the country. Once you do all that you get an RFC immediately. It'll be just like your curp but with less digits and it end with a different set of numbers.

A curp is like a social security an RFC is like a tax identification number so you can file your taxes in the country or in this case purchase a home.

@EatBailaTravel
@EatBailaTravel 3 жыл бұрын
Once you have dual citizenship you need your mexican passport and that is about it. You need your mexican passport in order to enter the country without any restrictions. From there depending what you want to do in terms of work, that we are still learning. Renting an apartment varies from state to state. It all depends where you'd like to go. In Yucatan they run ask for first and last months rent, a 3-6 month deposit and background check. Other places you can just call people directly and negotiate with them. and the most expensive option is airbnb but its also the easiest way to dip your feet in the water.

If so, wont they be able to find them ?
@EatBailaTravel
@EatBailaTravel Жыл бұрын
the law changed in May 2021 (after this video was posted) and generational limits were removed from being able to get citizenship through heritage. It doesn't look like requirements have changed so I believe you'll simply need your grandparents' documents (in addition to your parents to trace the lineage all the way to you, of course) so their birth certificate and ID's. And the Mexican Consulate should be able to issue you their birth certificates (bring your parent's birth certificate when asking for your grandparents') but I'm not sure if that's a quick transaction or not so I would try to make an appointment for that

Hello, My question is about the requirement of getting a translation and apostille of American birth certificate to present at appt for Registro Civil. Any suggestion or advice on how to get that accomplished. (assuming that is a requirement). Thank you
@EatBailaTravel
@EatBailaTravel 2 жыл бұрын
if you're doing this in the US, a translation to English isn't required. For the apostille, you can do that in person at a local government office (county clerk's office, for example) or by mail as well in some places. I suggest Google searching "where to get a birth certificate apostille in (enter city or state)"

Im currently trying to get mine. My consulte said since only one of my dad's last names is on my birth certificate i would have to go to Mexico to complete the process and i would have to get my birth certificate apostille. Do you have anymore info?
@EatBailaTravel
@EatBailaTravel 2 жыл бұрын
That’s strange. We didn’t have to do that. It’s customary for a US birth certificate to only include one last name. Completing the process in Mexico is usually easier than in the US. It seems like they are stricter when the process is being done outside of Mexico. I don’t have more information on this, sorry.

Mine looks different than yours. When I try to make an appointment I only have the option to make an appointment for my passport. In the end, when I look at my booked appointment it states it as "Pasaporte, Matrícula Consular e INE".

If It doesn’t give an option for registro civil that means that there aren’t any appointments for the registró wherever you’re trying to make the appointment. Our recommendation is that you check daily, even twice a day, to see if appointments open up or call daily for a week until you can get an appointment. Appointments open up randomly and and at any given time.

@@EatBailaTravel thank you I will keep trying. i currently just have the passport scheduled, is it fine to go with that appointment first?
@EatBailaTravel
@EatBailaTravel 2 жыл бұрын
@@2PacStoleMyBike unfortunately no. You need your registró first that way they give you your citizenship to get your passport. Our advice would be to try getting an appointment three days before passport one to be able to get both done. And we highly advice calling every single day in the morning. Sounds crazy but only this way will you be able to get an appointment. (877)Mexitel

For me on the Trámites it only says - Visas, -Certificados, legalizaciones y visados or -Nacionalidad. So i choose nacionalidad and on the tipo de trámite it says certificado de Nacionalidad, declaración de nacionalidad, reposición de certificado de nacionalidad, and reposición de nacionalidad. that part is where it confuses me. and then next to tipo de trámite it says “sub tipo de trámite”. if you can please help me.

Did you have to get an apostille for your birth certificate? I went through this process 20 years ago and failed $500 into it because Vicente Fox and George Bush were having a feud and Fox Closed citizenship to foreign born nationals. $500 went into translating my documents and getting apostilles. I was left so jaded because I was really young and $500 was a fortune to me. It sounds like maybe it was a scam. I’m going to try again and hope for the best this time! Thanks so much for these videos. I made an appointment! I’m not sure what I have will be accepted but it’s ok because at least I know it won’t cost much and I will know exactly what I need.
