Remember the food in Europe has to pass MUCH TOUGHER food regulations than the USA, including fast food outlets. We do not wash our chicken in chlorine, or add enhancers and tenderisers to our beef or add tons of sugar and salt. Far less antibiotics etc etc. thats probably why everything tastes different- its more food than chemicals

Our Macdonald's chips are just potatoes. There's a channel that does a comparison on the ingredients between the fast food outlets, it is quite shocking what goes into the American fast food, compared to the UK's. Ours is much more natural. Also, I remember going into a KFC in Florida (years ago) and there being no Fillet Burgers, not sure if they have made an appearance on your menu in recent years. I'm not a fan of eating off the bone so Fillet Burgers are essential for me. You've probably tried most of the major eateries, maybe try a Pizza restaurant (Pizza Express, Pizza Hut, ASK, Zizzi). If you like burgers, there is Five Guys which is probably the closest I've seen to a US burger (not in size, but the taste). Chinese and Indian takeaways are also a staple over here, maybe do a comparison on those compared to what you get in the US. Thanks for the videos, you appear to be having a lovely time over here :) Nearly forgot, Sundays ... Sundays Roast, find a good pub and enjoy :) make sure you try a Yorkshire Pudding with the roast ... and a shed load of gravy! Us Brits love our gravy!

Two things you should try while you are here, an Indian restaurant and a Thai restaurant, every nation seems to have its own twist on different ethnic foods and ours are pretty good, just hunt out the ones with good revues, there are several of both in most decent sized towns. I visited the UK as a teenager twice back in the 70's and remember eating at Wimpy's. I also remember seeing Wimpy's in Paris and Koln. Revisited London, Paris and Koln in 2007 and 2012 and never saw a Wimpy's. Are they still around? When ever I do travel abroad I have a "No American" rule and try to eat local even if it's fast food (think Costa and NOT Starbucks). The one exception to that rule is I visit a Mc Donald's once in each country. I've found that they always have something local to each country that's not found in the US. I do remember having a Mc Bier and Mc Chicken (fried chicken - think KFC) in a German Mc Donald's in the 70's. Went back to that same Mc Donald's in 2007 and the fried chicken was gone. They still had the Mc Bier!

I live in an EU country not a million miles from Blighty, ours only have 3, no Dextrose and if one asks for no salt on them, they will fry a fresh basket and serve yours before the salt is added. Which is more than many a posh restaurant will do, try asking for a menu item without salt in it or send it back as too salty and an argument with the Head Chef is inevitable. Salt should be treated the same as allergens, for those of us on a very low Sodium diet. I'm limited to naturally occuring Sodium in foods. Time crisp manufactures put the salt back into the little blue paper sachet.

You need to try gravy on chips from a fish and chip shop in the North of England 🏴

I was going to say try to (good luck!) find a Wimpy but then I looked them up and turns out it's yet another American thing that Brits assume is one of ours. Add to that list Kellogg's, the Monopoly board game and a whole load of others. What's great about such a phenomenon though is that it goes both ways. Twix, Starburst etc. are British and a whole load of other stuff too.

Another burger I would recommend at Burger King is the Argentinian Angus, its avariation of the Steakhouse Angus you had, and it's SO SO good, it's a little spicy with a delicious Chimchirri sauce

Try the chippie and kebab shops, you’ll find a west of Scotland chippie in particular… interesting. Expect fried pizza, battered haggis and battered black pudding amongst other things on the menu. A cream tea is a must if heading to the south west of England.

😁😁 I love the McDonalds veggie dippers! Unfortunately where I live on the South Coast we don't have a Burger King, but whenever I go to one I get the bean burger. Leon is also something we don't have in my town but I've had it a few times in London and everything I've tried there has been yummy. Anyway, great video, you both seem so lovely in all of your vids 😊

Love your enthusiasm and general love for the UK! Most Burger Kings here have very different layouts that was the first american diner kinda one ive seen lol... same with mcdonalds.. theres actually a lot of converted old pubs that are mcdonalds and they are kind of cool... I have been to the US many times and your KFC's are definitely better.. lots more options and double fried options.. our KFC'S have a much smaller menu.... My fave burger fast food place in the US is 'whataburger' though i dont think you have them in your region. Just a quick note on your comment on things being hot for the sake of being hot i have to disagree though... ther are a lot of south asians in the uk who love spicy food and the hottest peri peri from nandos and those peri peri bites from kfc arent that hot for a lot of us..... maybe because its too hot hot for you personally you feel its hot for the sake of being hot.. That said ive started watching your other vids and love your guys take on our UK... keep it going!!

Only 3 ingredients in the Macdonald's fries here, potatoes, vegetable oil and salt, not the over 12 in US ones. The burgers and other products have far less as well, far fewer additives. Applies to other US chains that operate in Europe and the UK.

I’m so glad you two are de bunking the bad food label the uk has in the US . The food here is very good a lot of food you get is fresh and without a lot of preservatives

I don't know, I have lived in England for about 6 years now and have not come across any restaurant that I was like "wow, that was a great meal". I guess if you grow up/are from here you will enjoy the cuisine but I just can't enjoy it. It has forced me to become more proficient in my home kitchen though!

UK McD fries are not missing 1 ingredient, actually 28 are missing (most un-needed or dangerous). Our fries are potato, salt and oil.
