You always find the most interesting spaces when you are getting lost. "Only when you know how to loose you will learn how to find!" Thank you again for your inspiring walks, Shinichi-san.

I love this kind of video. Seeing all the different shops and such is fascinating. I'm sorry you weren't able to get your Char Sui Bao, but the dumplings you got sure looked good. Thank you for the tour.

I am always amazed when you bring us on your walks. So many shops, markets and eateries. With that much competition how do they stay in business. It is fascinating, and I hope they all do well. Everything looks so bright and exciting. I love your walking tours. Japan is so beautiful.

Yummm. ❤️ Thank you for sharing, and exploring Chinatown in Japan. ❤️ Did not know it existed, until I watched your videos. 😊💕 Made me crave dumplings. 🤤😄 The deep fried dumpling, we have one with taro inside (purple yam). 😊 This is real, they have soy sauce, and not ketchup, as the only condiment. 😄 They also have the candied sweets, panda 🐼 bun, and other delicious dumplings (dimsum, siomai, etc.) 😊💕❤️ So good. 😊💕❤️

Those look delicious! Somehow, I have in freezer some soup dumplings by bibigo from Costco and those big korean Mandu. The dumplings were enough to satisfy my craving while watching you eat those dumplings. I usually dip in sweet soy sauce that came with it and I add lemon and hot sauce.. perfect!. Thank you for taking us along your interesting explorations, surprised there were no charsew bao in Chinatown.

Exploring a space by getting slightly lost is the best! (Not too lost, of course, but just enough to find the good treats or things you didn't expect!)

Shinichi san, next time you have xiao long boa, place the dumpling on a spoon then pinch an opening at the base of the soup dumpling, drink the soup then eat the whole dumpling after.

Seems like its easier to find Char Sui Bao in Chinatown, Los Angeles than Chinatown, Yokohama lol crazy! Great video Shinichi, I loved seeing all of the buildings and little streets.

I love those soup dumplings. The one from that popular Chinese place in Ameyoko though, with that fried bottom, just beats all else. So damn good. I just pretty much always burn my mouth eating those things. "I don't see the steam anymore, should be ok..." >> burnt mouth for the rest of the week. Just noticed the pictures of the place, apparently they have that type too there.

Chinese bakeries offer a plethora of delicious buns, tarts, and other desserts Your should try out: Egg Tarts, Chinese BBQ Pork Buns (Baked Char Siu Bao), Pineapple Bun, Pineapple Milk Pastry, Pineapple Milk Custard, Coconut Bun, Coconut Buttermilk Pastry, Taro Bun, Red Bean Bun, Pork Sung Bun, Hot Dog in the Blanket, Hot Dog Bun, Curry Beef Bun, Milk Pastry, Wife Cake (or Sweetheart Cake 老婆饼: Lao Po Bing) and Husband Cake (老公饼: Lao Gong Bing) , Chinese steamed rice cake or called white sugar rice cake (白糖糕 bai tang gao), is a traditional Chinese pastry. The cake is sweet and sometime slightly sour in taste due to fermentation of rice batter. The texture of this steamed cake is spongy, slightly chewy and moist. It is made with very simple ingredients; rice, sugar, water and yeast for fermentation. The cake is often white in color with honeycomb-like appearance on the inside.

I had been to Yokohama but not to the China Town there so this is interesting. I had only been to the one in Nagasaki, although it is very small compared to what we have in Bangkok. Seems all China Towns' common features are the abundance of food :D

*surprise noise in spanish* I can go to yokohama, and I'd find some inglish traduction? OMG (I saw little places with and english version of menus, etc) min 5:00 that must be the big gate inside that was in the map, right? you dont need to apologize for walking around!! that's the magic of you videos, and the real thing! I find funny that the shops that no one look at, is my actual chinatown and some restaurants and supermarkets hahahaha thanks for the funny tour Shinichi!!!

rainbow soup dumplings are done differently everywhere i've tried them. i find the most common is that they are all pork with a different accent ingrediant, chives, mushroom, shrimp, ginger, garlic, chili... etc.

Every time I see these videos, I’m reminded of how unimpressive most U.S. cities are! 😢 I used to live in NYC and the city, where I currently live, doesn’t even have a Chinatown. The good thing, though, is that we have Sakura Square, a little one block “J-Town” and I live across the street from a Japanese grocery store! 😀

We drive 122 miles one way to get Dim Sum but Covid forced them to close permanently. Also my other favorite cuisine is Japanese Sushi. They closed their doors permanently too. And Yes People. It was worth the 244 mile round trip. I am sad. I have to make it myself and that’s WORK!!

I'm a tea addict so next visit perhaps.✔ So much to see and do at China Town , perfect place to visit.
