@a.r.r.i.9841 I get my chicken breats from a Turkish butcher regularly, one day the chicken tasted off, so the next time I went to purchase some, I asked to check label and it was Polish, and was different from the halal label that I used to see.

The first condition is that the meat should be slaughtered by a muslim or kitabi. That condition is not met, so there is no need to get into more details. These are secular countries. There is no way of knowing who slaughered your meat. Just assuming it's a christian because it's supposedly a Christian country is careless to say the least. Anyone who has lived in the West knows there are just as many atheists and agnostics here as christians. Now, if we get past that HUGE issue and assume the meat was slaughtered by a Christian it is well known that meat is not slaughtered accroding to sharia here, it has been shown that they die from stunning before the neck is cut, so I don't even know why people are still discussing this. Muslim communities in the West have done their due diligence, visited the slaughterhouses, etc.. and found that the meat is not halal long ago. There are scholars and organisations with more first-hand knowledge who have made this abundantly clear. Finally, if you get past that issue, there is the issue of mentioning Allah's name at time of slaughter, which is clearly not done. (6:121) "Do not eat of (the animal) over which the name of Allah has not been pronounced (at the time of its slaughtering), for that is a transgression" . It's not like we have a doubt as to whether or not the person slaughtering mentioned Allah's name, we KNOW they didn't. Even if you take the view of the shaykh that it's ok as long as you say Bismillah before eating, this is just one doubtful issue after another, after another. You must be doing mental gymnastics at this point to think there is still a real chance of the meat being halal and we know that in Islam we should stay away from doubtful matters. My recommendation for the owner of this channel: please don't spread this opinion. We have respect for the shaykh, but he is human. The issue of eating halal meat is very important, too important to be taken lightly.

This is one of the great controversies that will dog the Sheikh no matter where he goes. Im still not onboard with his "hakuna matata" attitude towards eating food from the kafirs. They have no interest in ensuring their food is appropriate for anyone but themselves. They'll saute thier meats and veggies in pig fat and not think twice about it...just to spite you...not because they really need to. You think they'll go out of your way to tell you about it?

Why do we need halal grocery stores and restaurants if we can buy any meat from Walmart or other grocery stores and simply say "Bismillah" before eating? 4o m
