Used to be vegetarian, like you. Have a huge organic garden, dehydrators, juicers..... But, I was not well after 8 years my hairdresser asked what I was doing to make my hair fall out and become super brittle. as well as not grow much. My fingernails were super weak and my vision was deteriorating. All I could think was my vegetarian diet. So, I took drastic measures and started carnivore. Within a week I had amazing energy, my digestion was greatly improved and now several months later I am like a new person.

I'm planning a strict carnivore in January, and reintroduced quality meat back in October. Also avoiding all the unhealthy stuff (processed foods, seed oils, non-organic veg, sugar etc). Feeling better. That's a good observation about the hair, now that you mentioned it my 2.5 month vegan experiment (with supplements etc) actually did lead to my hear thinning a little and being weaker. We'll see if it returns to normal now. Thank you!

Interesting... in my case was the other way around. I think people are becoming more and more liars every day or who knows what you did for your hair to thin out (cheap shampoo, stress, etc.). Once i became a vegan my long hair stopped falling like snow. Vegetarian, vegan, etc. is a lifestyle and "supplements"... always fresh and natural fruits and vegetables not stup.d pills. "Quality meat" doesn't exist. Feeding on animals fear will always give birth to diseases because the meat becomes like a poison. Sounds almost like what Donald G. Firesmith said... almost: “They prefer their meals alive and terrified, for fear is their favorite sauce.” Go and watch documentaries and see what happens with animal/humans knowing they will get killed... the difference between the decomposition smell of a normal dying human of old age or normal circumstances and one found by the FBI murdered. (i'm talking about 2 persons who died at the same time/in the same day.) I saw this on documentaries (something with crimes a long time ago) and movies like Se7en from 1995 (if i remember right) and 10x10 from 2018. Having compassion, mercy and love for an animal (who can't speak and defend itself) it's having for yourself your health, body, mind and soul. It's a win-win or loss-loss situation... there is no middle ground.

I have gone completely carnivore for over 7 months now and love it. The energy is smooth meaning I never have low or high blood sugar and I’m never crazy hungry except in the morning when I wake up. You will definitely lose fat and gain muscle if you have a proper workout routine. Give it another try but go pure meat and if you want to cheat schedule it instead of caving in on a sudden urge. Good luck!

@@DeliberatelyDefiantjust remember when you go fully carnivore you only require the farmer to take the life of one animal, when you go vegan you require the farmer to exterminate an entire ecosystem. I have heard that monocroping kills 20 million birds in America every year alone due to all the pesticides they use, a very cruel way to die.

On the point of ethics, I would like to give the following to consider. A) We are the only species in history of this planet, who burden themselves with question of ethics in regards to food. The question then, if this conundrum aligns with reality. There is not a single creature that will actively jeopardize itself and not eat something that is appropriate to it's biology. So maybe there is a lesson to be learned. Polar bear, if it gets you, will eat you without wasting time to kill you. B) Plants, while lacking cerebral cortex and high level neurological function, evolve to become unedible, because they are as driven to stay alive, as everything that lives. Thus, if the ethical dilemma is that we go against something else's drive of survival to sustain ourselves, then, at the end of the logical pathway, the most ethical thing we can do is to give up on survival, and go get ourselves served as a meal for predators, like bears, and as a fuel for plants and soil. Survival begets consumption, and consumption begets thriving on demise of other beings. C) Suppose we all collectively stop eating animals. Ok. Does it mean they will live happily ever after? Not at all. If we won't predate on animals that we eat, nature will find no shortage of those animals, who will. D) the deeper presupposition, that is fundamental to 'ethic question', is that view of the nature as innocence incarnate, used and abused by corrupt, unhinged pesky humans. This view is badly misaligned with reality. Nature is not helpless weak or innocent thing. It is ruthless, cruel, uncaring, driven by conflict in every aspect. Herbovores are in arms race with plants. Predators are in arms race with the prey. Immune systems of living beings are at arms race with bacteria and viruses. Nature is a battleground where claw and tooth clash with scale and hide, where camouflage and sensory perception are pited against each other every waking second. It has been so as long as life forms are around, and it is not about to change because 1 specie has a funny quick of feeling empathy, actual or perceived, towards it's own food.

Such an awesome video topic! I tried something similar a couple years ago (age 36). I'd been vegetarian my whole life (yogurt, cheese, and eggs mostly), and I was working out a few times per week, but I wanted to see if animal protein could help me lose a little weight, gain some muscle, and feel "better". I added organic turkey and tuna to my diet, and I tried some elimination testing with other foods to see how they were affecting my mood/energy levels. Overall, I found that eating animal protein did help me feel better and I felt stronger physically, but I still struggled with the ethical choice to eat animals. After 6 months I stopped eating turkey and tuna, but I added more plant protein to my diet. Since then I've focused on getting plenty of protein daily (at least 100g), exercising at least 5 times per week, and eating foods that contain essential amino acids (tofu, quinoa, hemp seeds, chia seeds, and beans). Those changes have had the same effect on my mood/energy levels that eating animal protein did, and it's been working for me ever since. 🙌

That is an amazing insight! I will return to eggs in September and see what changes, then in October 1 quality steak a week, otherwise vegan + eggs (no cheese) but I may consider more protein from plants too. Right now I do 60g in my morning shake (after workout) and 40-50 in my main, final meal, so hitting somewhere around 100g - but not sure how far I can take it yet.

I am making new muscle mass every year on a vegetarian diet, I go gym 3 times a week, count my kcal and macro, and eat a minimum of 150g of protein every day. Cutting to 10% bf every summer time. No animal meat is needed to do this. The carnivore diet is the same BS as the keto diet and other stuff that people are selling to you to gain more clicks and views, I would not recommend listening to guys like Peterson or Rogan in case of diet or health in general, they are the same kind of expert as ppl like Liver King, etc, they advise you to be "better" and then trying to sell you their bf stuff and at the end, you are without results and money and they are keeping themselves rich and famous.

Since there are no negative side effects to eating mostly fatty beef and some eggs, it's rather easy to keep eating this way. I'm glad I stuck with it when I was having some pretty gnarly issues in the beginning, such as diarrhea, bloating, and fatigue. In return for my diligence, I got rid of hypertension, bloating, 23 pounds, anxiety, and a skin issue that I had foe 40 years!

Have been basically off and on carnivore since October of '22. My goal was to rid myself of inflammation, which would cause me to walk the "shackle shuffle" like I was in my 90's. I had heard of Tom Brady eliminating certain inflammatory foods (veggies) from his diet to extend his career, which he did. As I began to follow suit, I noticed the inflammation was reduced. I happened on the carnivore diet as I was tooling through KZbin. I think my first was with Dr. Ken Berry explaining the lifestyle and his experience with his changes. I'm full carnivore now; no veggies. I may introduce some fruit and honey a la Dr. Paul Saladino, but for now, except for a cheat now and then, it's full carnivore. Except for paying for my sins when I do cheat, buh bye inflammation.

Mental clarity comes when your macros are ketogenic, not because you eat meat necessarily. You can do a ketogenic diet that allows plants or go full carnivore, but the bottom line is that you need to have your carb intake as close to zero as possible. Meat alone isn't going to magically give you mental clarity, the state of going into ketosis does that. Good video.

Most people have no idea how to do this right. I’m as guilty as you are, I’m not really on a diet more in a state where my weight is +-1kg the same, but I do love pizza and ice cream too much. So sometimes more cardio or just simple cutting one meal for the guilty pleasure is a must. Also what are your thoughts on cleaning your body with stopping eating the meat? How did you feel when you first did this? I wanted to do this for some time now. Not for a long time like you, but more like 1-2 months. Just curious was the junk food you ate generic food from restaurants or was it organic? I'm going from being fully organic and vegan to having idea to eat either wild or organic meat, though I have heard that organic meat can still be vaccinated and given antibiotics in worse case scenarios, so really getting involved with the farmer directly and going to the source of the supply chain is the only key to get past the chemicals that even organic meat can still be altered, even the bedding for organically raised cows doesn't have to be organic straw so yeah the way organic animals are being raised can be a debatable scenario to be truly honest and this is where going from eating wild meat vs organic is the true question of all because to undermine the purity of eating organic veggies to eat chemical organic meat seems to be a strange concept... Though I can't dispute one person's organic growing method to another organic growing method is also debatable, for instance there's organic grown food using organic chemicals from plastic bottles and then there's organic plant powders that can create compost teas like the forests way of rain and then plants being fed to the soil like a tea but yeah as I said, how do we take it to complete this purity in terms of connection to ourselves, as even then there's water which I don't drink from a tap or plastic bottles and then there's rain water and air pollution so yeah I guess I do the best to my capabilities but I like to keep it a fine on the right rope as one can do. Peace, Love and blessings 💚🙏☮️

@DeliberatelyDefiant nice! Yeah it can be difficult to live fully organically but it can be done! Eating out can be a right challenge! I'm very blessed where I live to have fully organic cafe's, I don't know where I'd be with eating out without to be quite Frank! Sometimes I think about if I was seeing someone how would I get along with this as everywhere we all go has more non organic food than imaginable and in most cases it's impossible to find restaurants let alone a whole food shop! I was saying there needs to be a map for those who want to be organic wherever we may travel so it can become a walk in the park and not such a challenge to eat clean. Anyhow rant over! Appreciate your video i always find it interesting to hear peoples results from variouse types of experimentation...one thing I would float as a thought excersise in your ethics section where you struggled with "killing" animals as part of your diet i would point out that a plant based, vegan vegeterian, diet pretty much steeped in dead animals to get that veg/plant on your plate the number of animals a farmer kills whether its with a gun a combine tiller or through using pesticides ... Blows the mind ... So from an ethical standpoint is it better to source as humanely raised local lifestock as possible maybe one or two a year on the average depending upon your size and nutritional needs or source plant products from hundreds if not thousands of miles away, think avocado, that are grown and got to your plate because animals were killed.

If you have a gag reflex on meat, then chop it up into bite-size pieces and put an Alfredo sauce on top of it or chop it up into little pieces and mix it with scrambled eggs. Eating a giant piece of meat can be daunting at first anyway. Also mix your chicken pieces with some kind of sauce also. Don't eat giant pieces of ground beef patties. Make meatballs, small ones with lots of flavoring seasoning in it.

I've been vegetarian for 6 years now and my life just got way better in every possible way after making the switch. I feel as though the universe respects my decision. I tried to go full vegan for a year or so, but found it too restrictive and I was relying on processed foods too much, so I went back to vegetarian and have been doing well. I do still occasionally suffer from eczema on my hands when I get really stressed, but I had that back when I was eating the most meat I ever ate too. I think the key to health is definitely cutting out heavily processed foods, sugar, and sweets, and alcohol, so I'm going to continue to do that as a vegetarian. I'm curious if carnivore would improve my health, but I cannot get around the fact that I don't want to support killing animals

Thank you for being honest, open and not biased, unfortunately not many are. I eat mainly animal based, I don't shy away from the odd meal with carbs or vedge etc in company or even alcohol although I find it has its problems. It would be interesting for us and yourself I think to do a strict meat only diet for at least a month, you would have to raise your fat to protein levels though. There are many benefits from eating meat but many find there are benefits to not eating plants. Also mixing carbs/fat/ protean in a meal has its problems and hormonal effects. There was a recent study looking at the genetics of those drawn to plant food and they found a potential genetic link, about 30% of us have that meaning 70% of us plants are not very appealing. Again thank you and good luck, unfortunately no food source is guilt free from animal suffering, also real Organic food is rare regardless today.

@@DeliberatelyDefiant I don’t think he knows what he’s talking about. I’m a sheep and beef farmer in New Zealand. Our beefies wouldn’t know an antibiotic or a growth hormone if it hit them in the face! Honestly, they don’t need them and we don’t use them. Check with farmers themselves in your country. And by the way we used to raise Wagyu beef for Firstlight foods that was 100% grass fed. We would get a couple of calves now and again that had had antibiotics when they were little and unwell. These were tagged as such all their lives and had to be killed separately from the rest of the cattle as this is not normal. Antibiotics and growth hormones are given to cattle on feedlots because it is an unnatural way of living for their species.

So I ended up buying just plain fat strips, cut off of other meats to supplement. And I actually didn't like the flavor of grass fed beef. So I'm eating regular beef, and giving away the grass fed beef that I bought in bulk to anyone who will take it. Even my son doesn't like it because it's too tough, with no fat

You obtained exactly the result that is to be expected when you just add meat but also keep all the carbs and junk food. That is essentially the SAD diet now, junk food + meat. You added muscle from the intake of protein but got none of the benefits of lowering inflammation and becoming ketogenic in your body's energy source because you kept too much carbohydrate and other inflammatory agents (like plant phytotoxins and highly inflammatory seed oils). You cannot expect to get the results you heard from Rogan and Peterson doing it half assed like that. Eliminating the junk and carbs is 70% or more of the results they are reporting, because otherwise that all works against what you are hoping to achieve (aside from a higher protein intake).

The gag reflex and the throw up sensation is because it's similar to cannibalism. It's like you are chewing another human being. It's a gross sensation. At least this was the sensation after 3 months with no meat. Now i'm a 10 years vegan. It's interesting that i have more energy after "divorcing" the meat and feel better physical, mental and moral.

Can you explain why vegans mostly look frail and pale? The facts are that meat is the most nutritious food there is, period. So to eliminate meat from your diet is completely ridiculous.

@@nudger5 I'm not pale. I'm sorry to disappoint you. And i'm athletic too and a muscled guy. It's in the gene... so it's a "+" for me. The most nutritious are carbohydrates, that means cereals. The centurions went to war with cereals (and fruits) and not meat not just because it spoiled but also because physically tires them on the battlefield compared to the cereals that filled them and it was nutritious. The same with the Saints, they were praying a lot and eating easy food to digest and yoga practitioners too. The heavy and tired the body the heavy and tired the mind. You eat meat and you don't know anything about food history, you don't even know what you're eating, you're ignorant and you've never put it into practice except what you hear left and right which is theory and opinions. You are like zombies. I always experiment on myself and then reach a conclusion. I listen to anything and get my head around it, but I don't get drunk on lies and theoretical nonsense not even on alcohol because i don't like to drink. Practice is my master. Eat a bread and see how long it takes until you get hungry again and eat a whole chicken and see how long it takes you until you get hungry again. You are forgetting that you eat everything else except you have an extra addiction... meat. Most people can't live without eating meat. It's called addiction not nutrition. Don't lie to yourself. I was there and i know. I'm not chained by this addiction anymore and my conscience is clear too. Earlier i went to buy food and when i left the building where i live there was a dead pigeon. After the buying session i went to buy some pretzels with different seeds and an old woman was asking people to buy her a pumpkin pie slice to eat. No one fuc...g care... ignorance. I bought her a pumpkin pie slice and 2 pretzels with poppy seeds and sesame seeds. When i turned home the pigeon was still there. No one took him. I went and took some kitchen paper set it like a stretcher/bed and took the pigeon to a resting place with green grass and earth. How can someone understand an animal suffering who can't speak (can't defend) when he can't fuc...g understand the person next to him speaking the same fuc...g language and even ignores the ones in need or asking for help? And people ask themselves why the world is in this "state of art" = "horror show" when the same people are the pillars that support it. Happy Holidays!

1 cow would feed me for a year. Vegetables and grains kill hundreds of littler animals that get caught up in the plows/combines etc. Ask any farmer and they will tell you the truth about all the animals killed to plant and harvest crops. It will make you pause, if ethical reasons are in the forefront of your choices. That said, I could never be vegan, I love a BBQ steak too much. I went low carb at 55 because a change was needed, felt better than I had for a decade, haven’t looked back to low fat SAD. I would go carnivore. Veggies are fine but they are not fire for me.

well, going carnivore doesnt make you a contrarian....its literally jumping on the latest trendy bandwagon! Also eating fish doesnt mean you were a vegetarian seeing as how a fish is a living creature. oh, and never base any health decisions on popular influencers, stick with the science!

The science is not 100% clear on dietary recommendations as they all depend on the individual - some fare better on vegan diets and others feel horrible while vegan. Also the science recommended the food pyramid for decades which was just paid for by a couple of food producers and is actually quite unhealthy. That's why I'm testing stuff on myself like this to find what works best for me. That is my science.

@@DeliberatelyDefiant ok but meat is meat vegetable doesn't come from a meat animal. I've taken eggs and used the ingredients for sausage and turned scrambled eggs into sausage tasting breakfast. I tried to tell a relative that vegans die early and she wouldn't hear it but now 20 years later her doctor told her she was dying and to get off the vegan or die . She did .
