24 HOURS eating ONLY what I Catch!! In this solo Fishing Challenge, I attempt to survive for a whole day only eating fish I catch from the ocean. We also stealth truck camp for the second time ever! Stealth Camping out of my truck and eating only what I catch in the Florida saltwater for 24 hours! We attempt to catch some fish, cook em up, and do our second ever stealth truck camp right next to where some bridge giants and other fish are. I definitely did not expect this to go the way it did..
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 452,000 I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!
Let me know if you guys like these Florida saltwater fishing and stealth truck camping videos!

You're doing it wrong bro. Carolina Rig will just catch rocks like that. Freeline the shrimp or fish it under a popping cork with a split shot. Keep it out of the rocks. Use a #6 or #8 treble hook. Hook the shrimp under the horn. Loving the videos. You're living my dream. I used to guide on the TX coast. Too old for it now. Wish I could take you out a couple times. You got a lot to learn. Will be fun tho.

Nice job! Maybe a simpler video title like "24 hour stealth truck catch n cook" would get more views, but how about a "48 hour stealth truck catch n cook" title for your next survival episode?? Let's step up the challenge and go 48 hours bro!

Quick tips - With live shrimp I would either use half of the shrimp or double hook it because most florida fish have smaller mouths - For the rig, you have it right except you might want to put a bead between the weight and swivel, because the weight could hit the swivel and break the rig off - A good hook is a 0/1 mustad O'shaughnessy hook they sell at most stores and especially cheaper at walmart

Bro you need to come fishing in south Mississippi. Fishing for sheepshead, black drum, speckled trout, redfish and more is so much easier than Florida. The smallest sheepshead I have ever caught here was like 14” and the biggest was 24” .plus we have like 4 or 5 offshore islands to go explore/fish.

The challenge is what makes it fun, and it sounds like Mississippi is a lot like Virginia! We just have cobia and flounder, which I’m sure are there too. Best thing we have that you don’t I think is tautog, poor man’s lobster

I'm a cook for ten years, prepare and clean Cast iron frying pan: first b4 you use it to cook the first time fill it with oil and heat it up to season the pan / make it non stick, then to clean use only hot water and a sponge or light scrubber NO SOAP

Try to shorten your Fluoro leader to about 8 inches. It will help you feel the pick up so you can set the hook. I think the long leader is causing the delay. Ponte Vedra Beach has a lot Sharks teeth! #MilesAwayFishing

If you place your trigger finger under the line in front of the bail to feel light taps this way you don't constantly lift the rod and lose the fish. You can also spray a light coating on the meat or fish you want to cook which helps the seasoning stay on better prior to frying.

When fishing for sheeps head with shrimp rip the shrimp in half and use the tail,and also when you use a full shrimp hook it through the tail also to improve the escaping and it also helps with hiding the hook

Another great setup would be a dropper rig. Use a uniknot tie monofilament line to braid line. It's probably best to use 50lb braid and 40lb monofilament. Then 6inches below Alberto knot tie a double surgeon knot making a loop then another 16 inches below tie another double surgeon knot. The top loop, you put a 6/0 octopus hook, then the bottom loop put a 1oz to 3oz triangle weight. If current is calm, like in the video you did, 1oz. If it's slight current modest current 2 oz heavy current 3 to 4oz.

He keeps having bait stolen so I suggest a way to keep it from being stolen constantly and you say no get out of here with your toll self I've been using shrimp my entire life for everything from trout through white sturgeon and also in you guessed it salt water the best way I have found to keep your bait from being stolen constantly is to hook through chest and wrap the tail to the leader it looks more natural for one and two if the fish grabs the head they get the hook but if the grab tail they are way closer to the hook and have a better chance of getting it in the mouth since the bait doesn't just rip apart in the blink of an eye
@williamparker1644
@williamparker1644 2 жыл бұрын
Bro you'll kill the shrimp hooking it that way. A gamefish grabs a shrimp in the middle and folds it before swallowing. Otherwise the horn or the tail spike will catch in it's throat. You can hook it in the horn or the tail and the point of the hook will be properly positioned for the hookset. I prefer the horn. His problem is that pinfish and stuff are pecking the bait apart. I personally wouldn't use live shrimp for sheepshead. Too expensive. Wrap a peeled dead shrimp around a little treble hook for those. Good fishing bro. Tight lines.

Never underestimate the benefits of a bobber, especially with soft bite fish. Put a sliding bobber on and a bobber stop 2-3 ft above the swivel. It’ll also have the added benefit of keeping bait above the bottom and out of the rocks.

Nice setup in your truck I had a pickup I camped in when I was young on the East Coast of Central FL I live in coastal NC now. The proper way to season a new cast iron pan first wash and dry your pan then rub It all over with oil and buff it into the surface heat it in an oven at 375° for 1 hour let it cool repeat 3 to 4 times this makes a non stick carbon surface. Now never wash the seasoned pan with soap all you do is wipe out the pan clean with water only dry the pan then oil the pan with a light coat of you favorite oil before putting it away. If you every forget and washed the seasoned pan with soap you will have to season it all over again as washing with soap removes the carbon layer which makes the non stick surface the more you use the pan the better the non stick surface becomes. I had my grandmothers cast iron skillet till Hurricane Florence destroyed my home in 2018 someone went into my home and took what they could my grandmothers cast iron went with them it was the best skillet I owned.
