As someone from the Alps here in Europe, where we also have all kinds of "Weird Food", i hope you come here sometime to try some of our Traditional Rural Foods. The Alps & Areas at the Foot of the Alps all have their special Traditions and Foods (Many of which go back to Alpine Pagan Times & are still kept alive today). F.e.: One Specialty in my part of the Alps (Bavarian Alps / Berchtesgadener Land) is a certain Reproductive Organ from a Wild Stag, which is smoked using Alpine Herbs + Wood and served together with Morchella esculenta Mushrooms & Wild Forest Berries. The most famous "Weird Food" from the Alps are of course the Escargots with Garlic etc. from Alsace/Elsaß, France, which also are Specialty in other parts of the Alps & Areas surrounding the Alps but they all come from Alsace/Elsaß And those are just two Examples of the "weird" Food in the Alpine Regions of Europe. I guess you'd call it "Alpine Ethnic Food" Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
