@@ThePhoenix3712 well when I was extremely skinny and struggling with eating disorders I went from an extremely skinny and non-curvy body to a very curvy feminine body after working to recovery... that's how a womans body works... she even explained how extremely underweight she was borderline eating disorder with hardly any fat on her body to get lean. She also didnt just get this way over night, she documented how she gradually got here. Also generally, when people get implants or injections, you can tell because the butt line doesnt match up with where the thighs start and generally is wider than the thighs which isn't at all what she has.

@@yumnaafarooq6000 That's not all in, that's how she was previously. I don't think you have addressed this: how do you and Jeff deal with him still being food focussed, do you often eat different meals? Since y'all are apart a lot do you guys just relax things when you are together and follow what works for you otherwise? I ask because I'm trying to work on being healthier and having less food guilt and my boyfriend is dieting in a way that seems safe and sane, but that I couldn't fathom doing in a sustainable way. I feel guilty ordering pizza when he chooses to eat a salad (and he is super supportive and always calls me gorgeous :) its my problem, not his). I had my own "all in" journey when I was recovering from an eating disorder. It took a good few years for my body to heal - I gained 36lbs in the first year, and then over the next two I naturally lost 24lbs without dieting or reducing calories. This DOES work - you gotta be brave and have patience. Love what you're doing Steph.
@elyseirwin25875 жыл бұрын
Ashleigh Mayes did you deal with belly bloat for a bit? This is the hardest thing for me each time I start eating even better and I always fall back before it redistributes. I’m thirty three and been dealing with anorexia for sixteen years. While now I am at a lot better weight than before I know I still need to gain and I still have fears and obsessively walk and eat only a certain amount of calories. How’d you let go of your ED thoughts and just do “all in”?
@ashleighm50815 жыл бұрын
@@elyseirwin2587 it's a very hard and painful journey, both physically and emotionally xx I dealt with a lot of bloat and also severe acid reflux - it lasted for a good six months before it eventually calmed down! I actually went to the doctors and they gave me a few pills to help with the burning! But my stomach felt like it was on fire for a long time 🤣 I consoled myself by constantly remembering that I hadn't eaten properly for five years, and my body wouldn't heal overnight. I pushed through and I can tell you with CERTAINTY it does get better. In the meantime, herbal remedies and prescription anti acids help. My mindset didn't magically disappear - my body was healing but it took longer for my brain to catch up. What I will say is that every meal got easier over time as I normalised eating - eating eventually lost it's fear! I went all in because I hit rock bottom and realised I would die if I didn't do it - everyone gets to this point in their own time. Recovery can't be half-arsed - I just decided I couldn't live like it anymore. I knew I had to get better or I'd kill myself, and honestly I didn't want to die when I thought about it properly xx

It’s so crazy how similar this experience is to my recovering from anorexia. I am not saying that I think Steph is/was anorexic! I am clearly in no position to diagnose anyone 😅. This has to do with the whole idea of letting go and allowing myself to eat until I was full. After I gained the weight back by following the meal plan from my dr, I had more independence with my food, and I WAS SOOO HUNGRY. At first, it was SUPER scary because I ate SOO MUCH at once, and it was shocking to me that I still maintained a health weight. Like Stephanie, my hunger did go away, and now it’s a lot of navigating what “normal” looks like for me. Thanks for talking about your experience, Stephanie! It’s nice to hear someone else talk about something similar to what I went through.

Before, I swear I could see it in your eyes how salient the donut was because of how super hungry you were and it was like you couldn't eat it fast enough. Now, you're still enjoying it, but the crazy hunger eyes are gone 😂. Your journey, and Taylor Swift opening up in Miss Americana about how she was starving herself when she was super skinny a few years ago is really eye-opening because I honestly believed that the only reason I was hungry all the time was because I was doing something wrong. It's probably more true that everyone else is just hungry too. Anyway, thanks for sharing. ♥️

This is honestly so lovely, reassuring, and motivating to watch - I’m trying to recover from anorexia and facing one HELL of a weight gain journey to get me to a minimum healthy weight, and it’s so refreshing to see someone outside of the ED ‘community’ where wheelchairs and NG tubes become the new normal. I was just wondering how you/anyone can say with confidence that you’re officially “above your set point”? Are you going from previous weights from your early 20s, or is it a rough estimate...? Not a criticism in the slightest - just curious as to how you’ve come to the conclusion that you’re ‘too heavy’ (in the sense that you’re ‘over’ your body’s ‘optimum’) when you look so healthy and happy currently! SO MUCH LOVE TO YOU GAL 🥰

~EmilySaysRed~ I am in full recovery from severe anorexia myself and was thinking the same thing. My pre-ED weight was in my late teens, and that was three kids and 18 years ago. When I went all in I tossed my scale (metaphorically speaking because luggage, kids, etc), but I was aiming for actual health (mental and physical). I wanted my hair, nails, period, bowels, personality, and brain back. My kids deserve better. My ED went against everything that truly matters and it made me miserable.

I was recommended Stephanie a couple of days ago because I have struggled with extreme hunger and weighed 100 pounds and lost all of my shape through my weird eating that I couldn't put into words until I started binging on these videos and all of my working out and I feel SO HEARD! And I'm thinking about going all in to accomplish the same thing. I kind of started a variation of it about 2 weeks ago and my body weight shot up to 110 which tells me that it was craving this change but i'm looking healthier honestly and I'm so effing motivated by stephanie. I hope you post more because girl I know i am not the only one following your inspiring journey with you

Same, this time last year I was 100 lbs and gradually went up to 113 from September to January/feb and got to about 120 in May we struggling but I’m sort of vibing because my mentality is just that no one has seen me and I know that’s not the right mindset but yea. I hope you are doing well 😘🥰🧚♀️

I feel like I'm finally out of calorie-counting prison lol!

What’s crazy is I had done a “all in” sorta thing too I got extremely strong I did it for about 6 months . Eventually my body just learned to control it self after being bloated and gaining a shit ton of weight I eventually didn’t have the desire too and I never thought I would get to that point. Cause I’m a all or nothing person . My body just doesn’t desire as much food as it use to and I didn’t even expect this too happen. I love these videos they’re so interesting to see and view your point of view and what you learned from this

Please please write a book! Your raw honesty and openness concerning all of this has been a life saver and i mean it!!! I used to be so crazy hung up on weight loss and having set cheat days that when I had them i couldn't stop eating. Every cheat day piled up calorie wise; when I restricted the hardest i would really binge and keep repeating to my parents that i was SO hungry and couldn't stop. I believe you have helped a lot of young women to see balance and find it for themselves without judgement. Thank you so much for that!!!

I just wanted to say how much of an inspiration you are to me. I’m currently going through a rough time with my body and food and the fact that I recently gained weight. Whenever I look In the mirror I always get discouraged at the stretch marks because they are something that is fairly new to me even though I know that in reality they’re not such a big deal, my body is just growing after all. It’s hard to accept this new me and there are times where I just think “What’s the point? I’m always going to look like this now”. My mind gets filled with such negative thoughts and it’s a horrible feeling. The one thing that helps brighten my mood are your updates on insta and KZbin and your instagram story. It’s so reassuring when I hear what’s on your mind because it makes me realize that I’m not alone in this. I just want to thank you so much for sharing your journey with us♥️ Ps. Your are such a beautiful human being and it would be lovely to watch and learn more at home workouts with you😊💕

I want to give you a hug. You’ve really helped me understand food isn’t a scary thing, it’s fuel. It feels so good eating when I’m hungry, and that sounds stupid, but it’s taken so much off my shoulders to just listen to my body and fuel myself instead of punishing myself. I watch you whenever I feel down and it helps! 💕

This is why so many are scared to recover from an eating disorder. They think they will lose control. You have to trust the process. Weight gain, change in moods, being in a different but healthier, stronger, happier body. Your documented journey is proof that you can trust your body, what it wants, the signals. You just have to focus every day until it feels right for YOU. Eating isn't about control. It's about living. It's about energy, nourishment, exploration, memories and life 🙌 Thank you for sharing everything you do. It's more helpful than any inpatient treatment and therapy I've had.
