These types of videos remind me how lucky I am to actually live in this country. We have problems with politics, inflation, “Austria surcharge”, unemployment etc. and then often forget that despite all this, Austria is a very good place to live. Thank you! And yes, Schnitzel is awesome.

Austrian Beer is just the essences of real beer: water, malt and a plant called Hopfen in German. No spices or flavorings. If there are flavors, it is called a Radler. (usually beer mixed with lemonade made of lemons).

Thank you for this beautiful video, I really enjoyed it. You two are a lovely couple with a wonderful personality. I know exactly how good it tasted because I ate there once and ordered exactly the same thing. Except for the beer, because at a "Heurigen" you should drink wine, but Oskar saved you. I think he wasn't a typical waiter, but a student who worked there. And yes, Grinzing is a beautiful place. Greetings from Austria.

It is so nice to see you enjoying Austria! - Next time you visit come to Stammersdorf to see real authentic "Heurigen" in a very different way than Grinzing offers. Grinzing is great and also typical, but it might be a great experience to see the differences of local Heurigen-Culture! They vary a lot while still having something in common :). Side remark: It is so charming to see you guys eating with the left hand under the table - good manners in the US, but absolutely "no go" here in Austria. Hands remain on the table without leaning on the table. You should never be suspect of playing "pocket billard" while eating or speaking :D.

If you have language problems reading the menu, ask the waiter for help. I suspect that translation programs also have a bit of a problem with Austrian "technical terms".

I am actually from this „village“ even though it‘s still inside Vienna and I am so happy that it is getting more popular to come here again.
