While speaker at 30:00 was talking... Yes, there are proper ways to dispose of fire debris but, like... Up to two months??? How about finding a way to position dumpsters such that people can try to sort the materials yet the debris can quickly be cleaned up. Then, when the debris is mostly collected such that residents can safely return, the dumpsters can be sorted to proper disposal.

what does the curfew matter if we can't go in anyway?

to deter people from entering a dangerous and toxic zone. With the curfew in place, the National Guard and LE consider any individual in the area to be participating in criminal activity/looting.

Here is a question for the sheriffs/national guard... Why aren't you allowing people to bring supplies to the checkpoints in the evacuation areas?

I DO appreciate all the help we are getting officially. But I don't like being treated like I can't help also. My house is there and during a daytime entry I could be wetting down around houses/yards with water from pool - how could that be harmful? There must be many more like me. On leaving I could also retrieve more essentials from house. I'm a real person - I don't need to be blocked from contributing to helping. Surely you can usually tell the difference between a looter and a concerned resident wanting to help recovery. Please allow some residents to contribute to helping soon.

it's highly toxic to be breathing in the dust/ashes, watering the house allows the toxins to seep into the soil. Maybe officials will be able to organize PPP materials, Hazmat suits, respirators, etc., for concerned residents who want to help out safely. Imagine thousands of people getting cancer-sick in ten years because of the toxins. Not worth it!
