Thanks for confirming that I did in fact fabricate my M45 to rotate in the correct direction mounted on my Z1300-powered 1960s F1 replica project! I was afraid I was going to have to start all over and mount the supercharger on the opposite side of the motor, or use some sort of jackshaft.

Very interesting and informative video, enjoyed that. One thing, how did you decide base settings on the DCOE? Im doing a similar conversion with an M90 on a 2.9 V6. I can find base settings for N/A but nothing for forced. Is it just a case of going 1 or 2 sizes up on everything? Thankyou!

Interesting vid. One point I understood the Eaton designation referred to cubic inches not cc. So m45- 45 cu in or 737cc per revolution.

Hi Andrew , I agree that most things in the US are imperial but as all the dimensions and threads on the M45 are metric, i'm thinking the volume is also Metric units as per the website: www.eaton.com/gb/en-gb/catalog/engine-solutions/tvs-v400.html

Benz blower for the win that's what I use on my Dodge neon and yea it's got the good grey coated rotor and a custom 3inch inlet and out for it 8psi all day right off idle and I use a front mount and some e85

Stuart - you show three superchargers in the video, M45 and 2 x M65, if one was to pick up a second hand one and buy the additional bits from your good self, which is best to convert and what should I be looking out for and what should I pay?

@@anthonybrown7959 after chatting to Stuart, I picked up the one in the middle (the one to the right of the M45), I believe it was an M65, but the numbers get confusing. Cost me £60, so I got a bargain.

Making one off kits is expensive as theres a lot of time spent measuring and tsting with developing until it is reliable

By cooling the manifold and supercharger case, inherently the air is also cooled , a conventional air to air intercooler adds too much intake volume and adds to the problem of fuel vapour dropout from the inlet mixture

@@Vmaxporsch As someone somewhat struggling with getting an M45 running perfectly on an MX5 1.8 that has an air to air intercooler, this comment is of great interest to me and I'd love to further understand what exactly is meant by fuel vapour dropout. I've had a search and cannot find anything, is there any further information you could direct me to, please, in order that I may learn more? Thanks so much for your informative video and comments.

I have an spi mini. Would this be considered a feasible upgrade to do with minimal work on the engine itself.

yes as long as the engine is good you could change to carb /distributor SC kit , use one of my remappable Rover ecus on the spi with Throttle body injection , or go full Emerald ecu with coil pack and not run a distributor anymore.

hi the grey coating can be sprayed as its expoxy paint, the black coating is much thinner and difficult to replicate , but removing it all will only loose 1-2perc efficiency

@@Vmaxporsch a mp models are the ones with more of a twist on the rotors almost like a twin screw and no it's not that blue pump they look just like what u got there google a mp45 supercharger ul see what I mean or search a mp45 vs m45 super charger they are all made by eaton too
