My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!
Frequently asked questions (taken from an old world record speedrun video):
Q: "Why don't you skip all the gates?"
A: It is required to open 5 slime gates to get the credits starmail. The other requirements are opening the ancient ruins gate, activating the glass desert teleporter and reading the final H note.
Q: "Why do you skip over the slime gates if you open them?"
A: We skip over certain gates so we don't have to wait for the opening animation to finish.
Q: "Why do you have to read all the starmail?"
A: To get the credits starmail you must read all previous casey mails, you will only recieve a starmail when the previous one has been read.

@@julitimev8680 The slimepedia page on them says that gordo slimes are made up of many slimes that merged on some source of energy (slime keys, teleporters, exetera). So, you are helping the slimes when you pop the gordos

All the things you described as "weird" (Double key, more slimes, more plorts etc) is because of the way my mod handles stuff :D Basically, because its a physics game, I want to loadbalance things. So each players is responsible for different slimes. Sometimes, due to packet loss or ping, actions can happen simultanius on multiple clients, like popping a gordo. That would double the key, same with plorts :D It's basically a compromise to keep performance in tact.

Multiplayer mods to singleplayer games are interesting in general. Kaze (if that's the name) made a splitscreen mode for Super Mario 64, and Snooplax made it work decently on actual console.

They truly do, that strat with the topped up stamina rly is a big time save and just simply bein able to spread out the labour rly saves time too. Will be rly interesting to see if anyone can figure out exact reasons behind doubling/tripling keys... It sorta looked to me like the time it tripled was cuz both Eazy and SmallAnt grabbed one of the two keys dropped by the honey gordo, cuz i didnt see the third key on the ground but that may just be i have bad eyes for such things.

@@SylviaRustyFae it could also be specifically a multiplayer mod bug thinking it needs a key per player unless that big slime is intended to drop two could be a bug somewhere in the code for something since alot of stuff gets wonky like item count etc if they or someone could figure out how to use it to their advantage and skip most of the slimes required for the keys

Thats what made me wager there was a duplication item pickup bug goin on when they got three; which is one of the most common multiplayer bugs across all genres prty much. Esp in earlier online games where prty much they all at least started with an item duplication bug (actual bug, not even an intentional exploit usin the slowness of the game saving your end of what youd done)

I think the key glitch could have worked with the giant pink slime, but SmallAnt ran out of food before the giant pink slime exploded.

Theory: The Honey Gordo gave 2 keys because you were both feeding it its favorite food, but Gordos can only grow and pop so fast. So by the time it stopped eating, it had 100/50 points, and wonked out two keys. Following this, you possibly could have done the same with Cuberries and the Phosphor Gordo. It wouldn’t work with the Pink Gordo because it doesn’t have a favorite food and they can handle the two points at a time output you managed.

I absolutely love speedrunning this game, my pb is a 16:45 and I just got the slime hover trick down the other day. But lemme tell ya, those top guys 112% are on another level. There are only so many ways to improve your run without attempting the crate hover 6 minutes in and ruining the whole run if you fail.

Possibly the most- well, least glitchiest and most working multiplayer mod I've ever seen. While it did multiply the keys and maybe a few slimes, it was perfect and worked for 1 person doing one thing and another doing another thing. Like how Smallant was sleeping while you were running around.
