I posted an item for $270 and the person offered $350. Then said to text or email them with more pics. When I clicked on their account they had created their account that day, had no reviews and were from Singapore saying they wanted the item shipped to PA. I declined the offer - shady stuff

I just sold a fendi shirt for 400 , I made sure I got confirmation, well 2 days later after I shipped it ebay lets me know this was a suspicious buyer because they were not registered, the lady on the phone let me know I was ok if the paypal money was on the account, and confirmation will help, along with any notes ebay has on the buyer based on the email they sent me, they made offerers after they bought the item, the woman who helped me said the money was as good as mine, and ebay has them on record which goes againt any dpite

I sell a lot of expensive shoes on eBay. On my eBay site, I state ahead of time that all items are shipped with tracking number and a signature will be required upon delivery. So far I have not had any problems. Also, I charge $25 for shipping which is what UPS is charging me. I think this weeds out the scammers and they move on to someone else.

I wish I would have seen this before I sold a brand new Samsung galaxy phone on Ebay one week ago. My daughter got scammed out of 700.00 dollars. Not only are theses scams happening on Ebay but also on Paypal. My daughter was receiving messages from Paypal that looked legitimate. I contacted my local police department and gave them all the emails that were sent to her that were supposedly from Paypal. So now Paypal doesn't even have it on their records showing any transaction of any kind. I put a lock on the phone so it would show up on the blacklist if anyone should try to use the phone.When I try to file an unpaid item report on my item it keeps showing up that my item number does not exist. I will keep calling Ebay to help me with this situation but I feel that they are protecting the buyer more than the seller.I have done some research on my own using the phone number that he contacted me with[ YES HE CALLED ME JUST TO THANK ME FOR THE FREE PHONE AND FOR HIM THIS IS HIS JOB]] and it tracks back to a bandwidth . I'm related to someone who is a tech guru and he has found some very disturbing info on these scammers. Right now I am more worried that he has my shipping address. I highly doubt that he and his ring of scammers will get caught but at the very least I got to tell him off! I will never be using Ebay or Paypal again!!

Never ship without payment. They tried that when I was selling a Note 8 and made 3 attempts to sell my personal phone. They hit Buy It Now and sent a bank account payment via PayPal and will try to get you to send it then cancel the payment. They only waste my time because I have to wait till the transaction drops off because I know better than to send out something with out a received payment.

The crazy thing about this is that the delivery fee over hundred dollars, but they don't care. They just wanted me to send them the computer no matter how much it would cost. Tracking number, record if you can for example if you send it record the quality and if you get a return also record yourself walking to your mailbox to see what’s up for proof. If you can use sign at delivery

Reverse shipping & buy it now cost....send FEDEX with signature confirmation....take photos of item.....(video) your item being packaged if this your first time sending out a costly item.....build as much evidence in the event something of such sort would/could/should happen!

Loreal Drayton it doesn't matter if you take video of packing item up AND OF you putting it Into the hands of the USPS or FedEx carrier, you will still be shit put of luck . This is a fact. According to get another genius policy by eBay, if an item is damaged after it leaves your possession (whether it's true or not & you suspect the buyer fucked it up or is just saying it's fucked up & sending lame pics that don't really show what they are bitchimg about, you will be held liable. Thus the buyer is always right.😒😠these asshole also will order shit and then make superficial damages to the item & tell you they received it that way. They want a discount, as they know you'll probably offer a partial refund (the discount for that asshole). It's such bullshit.v

No eBay will refund EVERYTHING ..reversing doesn't do anything you can also be reported for excessive shipping cost. If you sale something make sure they have good feedback and not new members. I always cancel bids from 0 feedback buyers you just don't know !

Thanks for the vid, Ive gotten a huge rash of these recently made accounts or super low feedback as I started selling more but still small acc. Its to the point now I google map ever address, Ive literally delivered to the middle of a corn field more then once. Also note, Not sure whats happening but since Ive had those attempts have been made on bigger accounts, that's the only thing different is ebay. I used to refuse sale but now ebay forces sales & returns..Any further advice to stay ahead of the curve would be greatly appreciated!

First time ever selling something on eBay (I have purchased stuff for a few years now) and on the first day I listed my item (Xbox one x) I got an offer for more than 100 dollars asking price. I'm a skeptical person, thankfully and started researching my ass off found out about these shirty scammers after I would decline their offer their account would be erased. I have seen about 20 of these bastards so far thankfully I changed everything to keep myself protected so far haven't had a real buyer, it sucks I really thought I would sell it quickly

Problem there is that I am a legitimate new seller. I made one sale a couple weeks ago but the buyer did not leave any feedback. I left positive feedback for them.
