With an SUV as my rig, I definitely couldn't do the normal Ebay side gig. I don't have room for a bunch of yard-sale finds. As it is, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to store all of my engraving stuff plus shipping supplies. 😔

Probably next year when things have calmed down from the election season and I've had time to teach my son more culinary skills. I've just learned how to manage and use a sourdough starter this summer and fall, and will pass that knowledge on to him over this winter--even while learning more myself.

This is good information. I used to have a small business. When I had to ship there was two prices. One was actual weight and the other was dimensional weight. Each box has a weight attached to the square inches it take up. They charge the highest price.

I had an Ebay sellers account about 15 years ago and had to quit because people were scamming me. I have thought about restarting it, hoping it has gotten better but I'm still cautious of it. Good luck if you do. So it's actually worse now that Ebay is scamming people.

Have another go. I started about 3 weeks ago and made upwards of £600 already and that’s part time. In the uk there are no seller fees now up to £1400 or 300 items per month. I’ve not bought anything yet it’s just my own junk. Feels good !

The 1st PO telling you they don’t have a scanner is BS. If there’s one thing the USPS has are scanners! They track everything! I think that PO was lazy or didn’t care. They’re NOT taking care of their customers who ship. They don’t care about the importance their timely acceptance is to people who regularly ship. I’m a former postal employee. Florida Rural carrier. They should be scanning your items as PREPAID ACCEPTANCE. Meaning, THEY now have control over your package and what happens to it.

as someone who hasn't bought or sold on ebay, this was interesting to learn who things work. You mentioned at the end you aren't getting paid at this camp ground? that can't be right? hope that was in error, you deserve to get paid for your work 🙂

Not an error .... we are only working about 15 hours a week to cover the cost of our site. We are in town trying to handle our sons estate and needed to be able to be off property more often. We are glad you learned something from this video.

Do you wrap the books inside the poly mailer to avoid potential damage to the book?

I haven't in the past .... I do tape up the flap with packing tape to make sure nothing gets in the bag like moisture or dirt.

I think that is great you are selling not needed items ! I have never sold on eBay . But , I have sold for many years on Offerup and Craigslist. I also have a once a year yard sale at my Daughters home ! I don’t really buy much to resell. People and relatives give me stuff constantly . I fix and resell it . Whatever doesn’t sell each year gets donated. Great idea for people Alec !👍😁
