imma write an ending for you ok as the group stared at their newly acquired cheese wheel, tears where brought to their eyes, they knew their magical had come to an end, (female character) looked upon the group, and upon (other female character) feelings washed over (female character,) as she wanted to tell(other female character) how she really felt. but alas they all departed, they all went on, but the wheel, the wheel stayed neglected, as no-one wanted to care for it, the wheel would have its revenge the end :)

I’ve been thinking about making a webtoon for a while now. I wrote this really bad story for an English assignment in school, but I still like the concept of it, so I’m thinking of turning it into a web comic. It’ll also help me practice digital art too. The story is about this terminally ill guy looking for a place that can cure his unknown disease. By chance, he meets this guy who runs a hospital and says that he can cure him. The protagonist goes into the hospital but later finds out that the hospital traps its patients there and turn them into these half human-half monster creatures so they can grow their population and overtake humans. The protagonist meets people who want to escape with him and they make a plan. I don’t have a bunch of details on it yet, but this video has really helped me a lot, thank you!

Also about overdesigning. There are always going to be big important shots where you can draw a character or scenario with more detail and it's going to make a HUGE impression if your character is not as detailed normally. Great video. It helped me a Lot

@angelsanchez6028

@@ElmKyh well, then it depends on your way of story telling. Nothing HAS to be detailed, specially if your style doesn't call for it. Also depends on what the story is about and what type of comic it is, at least that's my way of seeing it. But I'm far from being an expert

@@ElmKyh present them in a way that makes them interesting to look at. I recommend using techniques like shading, perspective, and expression to give more information about your character. Any design can be used well if you know how to present them well. 1. Format (Comic - A4/5 or Webtoon - Verticallity) 2. Thumbnails (mini versions of the pages to test the sizing, understandability, and flow) 3. A beginning and an end (even if the end doesn't come for a long time, you need to know it - as you fill in the journey arc from there) 4. Establishing shot (first panel - and when scenes change - that tells the audience where the characters are, what they're doing, what the environment is like) 5. Don't overdesign (shadows, patterns, crosshatching from different angles and 100s or 1000s of times)

@EbbeWaxin
@EbbeWaxin 7 ай бұрын
It is a challenge, but worth it in the long run. Examples are Batman and Hellboy - Most draw Batman with the cape covering him, Hellboy artists usually have him in heavy shadows. But if you want to overdesign, that's okay. The risk is always that you will burn out on drawing that designed character and it will take longer to produce your story/comic/illustrations.

I just want a basic cliché story to check if I like making comics, so here's my starting brainstorm for a cute yuri romance bcs why not Protag: random unpopular otaku kid The Protag has a friend who's also a otaku and doesn't have that many friends. Protag falls in love with popular and nice girl. The story would be a wholesome slice of life of these two falling in love and their dynamics, trying to make the relationship work and getting to know each other, with the supporting best friend character that'd be specially important at the start, while they're figuring things out. I'm thinking of making a pilot episode on webtoon and if I like it I'd make it into a comic, the idea is for it to be a "feel good" time for the readers

I liked ur story it sounds fun! But I suggest why u won’t make it straight romance, I think it’ll suit more audiences and maybe it’ll help u more in the future, but in the end it’s ur decision! Good luck ig✨

I love Yuri stories and I fully support you turning this into a real comic. Dont Listen to the guy who claims you have to make it 'straight' just so it appeals to the mainstream. There are enough people like ne who love these stories.

@@SprinkleMyDoughnuts I didn’t mean that actually, I wish u read that more carefully, ofc she can make it huri that’s her decision and i understand that there is an audience for these type of things, well yuri content may be sensitive to some people, for example i know sm people including me who can’t see these things, and I would love to see her story and don’t want other to not be able to see it cuz of a little thing, maybe it sounds selfish, again I’m not saying that she has to do it straight so it appeals to the mainstream, I’m saying that because more people will see it, I’m sure her story is amazing and it would be a waste if some people missed it just because it’s yuri, u can’t force others to see things that can’t see, plus again and again I’m not claiming that she SHOULD do that because that and that, I’m just expressing my opinion here, u don’t have to act like I asked her to give up entirely on that I just tried to explain what I’m trying to say politely, what I don’t understand is that why do you try to encourage her in that way idk I don’t get it plus I’m not rlly good at explaining, I hope u understand

@SprinkleMyDoughnuts 7 ай бұрын
@@bahanbayan9696You people will never get it. Tell me, are the millions of stories featuring straight romance not enough for you? Why does ever single story have to cater to your demographic and when it comes to my demographic, we're constantly discouraged to have stories about us cause we're not "popular" enough. How would you feel in my shoes if people constantly told you that? Tell me.
@hime.Bahan1
@hime.Bahan1 6 ай бұрын
@@SprinkleMyDoughnuts im asking you the same question too. plus i never discourged her because yuri is just not rlly "popular" . my point was why not make a great story like hers appealing to everyone, plus these kinds of thing are personal preferences. A great amount of people including me doesnt hate yuri or things like that, its just not our cup of tea, she asked for opinion, and i gave her mine, and i never meant to be offensive(sorry just in case i sounded like that). And as well as that i also know and acknowledge that there is a huge amount of people that likes yuri, and it is their cup of tea. She here clearly asked for opinion from lots of perspectives online, and i as any other human who read this comment, gave mine. i encourged her and told her that i liked her story as well as saying my personal preference that yuri is not my cup of tea, and i tought i said that in a polite way.I see nothing wrong in what i said, but honestly i felt that when you told her not to listen to my opinion it was a bit rude, i just told her what i thought and i felt a bit offended by your comment.

The beginning of my story is complicated. The technical beginning is the main character benjen waking up from a strange dream of his 16th birthday, but it really begins when he escapes from his elemental kidnapper, Iko. Benjen falls from the plateau cliff and into the kingdom, where he meets his future best friend Bo, the generals son. It ends when Benjen fufills his part in the ancient prophecy, and brings elementals and kingdom people together once again. Since Benjen has completed his purpose he dies… well, kinda. But not really. He leaves behind an empty shell, which still has a pulse, and his soul is taken by the blue devil, a strange being that lives in his dreams. His soul is taken to another mysterious dimension, and a redeemed Iko and sad Bo are left to deal with the aftermath of the war.

In artschool I get lots of compliments, especially because I don't know what I'm doing, but always can figure something out. Don't want to have an ego, but that tip of having an end isn't the best tip for creative People. Therefore I'm not sure about the other tips, joined art school to understand drawing in general better.

I could say the same about your tips, most creative people never got anything from art school, and not all people can work improvising every step like you. So judging the tips for yourself is one thing. But don't judge for others. Since you said it yourself... You don't know what you are doing.

(this format is repeated throughout the comic with different hallucinations, but this time it's real). Moments later she dies in his arms, but the guy convinces himself that it's just another hallucination, sitting with her for hours. In the last few pages we see the two spending time together, seeing her alive and well through his eyes, but in the final panel we see her true apearance, the one of a rotting corpse.

I like to leave my endings quite open cause I know that, by the time I reach there, my comic would have taken so many twists and turns and my skill would've grown and not fit my initial ending

Ok, I tried to write a comment about one of the 4-5 ideas I've had during these years of wallowing in my inability to draw/write and laziness to do anything about it, but since I can't write I'm trying again: So, the name is Undead or Revived. The basic idea stems from my hatred for the concept of zombies in general, and is as follows: what if, under certain circumstances, zombies were able to regain their sanity? What if they were able to remember their lives and develop a society similar to humans? And how would they even see humans? The story is set in the "Infected Zone", a small, isolated portion of Earth devastated by a parasitic life form known as "the Mycelium", which kills its hosts' body and literally"revives" them as nigh-invulnerable, rapidly healing and feral beasts known as the "Undead". The rest of the world, unaffected by the Mycelium, just stopped caring about the averted apocalypse and the most governments do is occasionally sending food, weapons and medications to the survivors. This zone is divided into small human communities, living in appalling conditions in repurposed rural villages and city outskirts, and the "Wastelands", the abandoned cities and landscapes roamed by the Undead. But, unbeknownst to humans, what they consider "Undead" is just the primary stage of the infection, which leaves the host physically and mentally damaged and forces it to devour meat and act like an animal. Once their healing factors (activated by absorbing organic material, like human flesh) patch up these damages, they actually redevelop human intelligence and regain their memories and awareness. They become virtually immortal, intelligent and overall human beings (they still need to eat and sustain themselves through external means, but at a far less frequent rate. They have a pulse, and are able to procreate. Some of them are able to control the Mycelium and use it as appendages. The Mycelium itself is able to synthetize simile-bone tissue, regrow missing tissue portions and heal wounds by eating and absorbing proteins and nutrients contained in animal meat, including human flesh. If their bodies are damaged in a way that would normally kill a human or they stay for a long time without any form of sustainment, however, they revert back to a feral state, requiring the absorption of new animal flesh to regenerate their wounds and bring them back to normal), who organize themselves into a large interconnected society and call themselves "Revived". And, as humans see them as monsters, so do they. After all, humans kill tons of them before they can even reach their advanced stage, and any attempt to communicate with them resulted in useless bloodshed. So, under the guide of the "Council", they are actually and secretly trying to take over and infect humans in an attempt to spread the Mycelium and establish themselves as the ultimate "evolution". The protagonists are 31, a human soldier from the improvised military force of her home village with a pessimistic and passive outlook on life, and Robbie, a one-eyed and eccentric Revived with a troubled past life and an unclear, utopian plan to stop the Council and bring peace between both species, and their friendship over the course of a few months. The series would be a sort of comedy/slice-of-life comic with an underlying plot and deeper messages, featuring a cast of quirky characters and quite a few story arcs I already have basic plotlines for. Whew, I actually did it. I shared this shit with someone. Now, I'm off to never do anything productive with any of this in my entire life.
