Iv been eagerly awaiting this video and it was worth it. Thanks for the mention and I honestly love these pads and I'm so grateful you released them at a price that's very affordable. 👍

Using my RP-1 on 24th for the first time at Snetterton. Looking forward to see how they perform.

How well did the pads work

They were OK but with a light car took ages to get to temp and bite. Think the rpx would probably better suit my car tbh.

I have a hellcat Durango and I need it as I am racing it in motor cross in the Middle East. Would love to have them.

We do have RPs for the 2021 SRT Hellcat (6.2L Supercharged). We would recommend RP-X for this application, part number is DP82400RPX

Can you use these in the USA for street use ?
@EBCBrakesUK Жыл бұрын
RP-1 - RP 1 is not R90 homologated for public road use within Europe and is therefore illegal for use on the public road. Unlike some other race pads on the market, RP 1 offers a usable cold friction of 0.35μ below 100℃ meaning it can be safely used as a road pad for non European markets where Reg 90 homologation is not mandatory. RP-X - RP X is not R90 homologated for use on the public roads in Europe, the fact this material possesses excellent cold performance means RP X can be safely used for driving to/from motorsport events in non European markets where Reg 90 homologation is not mandatory.

Are rp-1, rp-x & yellowstuff compound compatible? I.e., can I use the same set of rotors with these compounds, and not lose the transfer layer, nor have to re-bed?

Hi, that's probably a question for our technical support team. You can reach them at technical@ebcbrakesuk.com

If i'm runnin rpx on the front (sprints from cold) what are the best compound to run on the rear? (what has the lowest cold bite?) as RPX arn't available for my rear brakes by the looks of it.

Hi Tom, it all depends on what vehicle you are running these on. If you contact < kits@ebcbrakes.com > someone will be able to help you further. 👌

I’m currently using the RP-1 pads on my Cayman. They’re a great pad. Very strong & never fading but I do get some judder when they get really hot. What steps should I take to reduce it?

So do I. So did you solve it?
@adrianc1012 жыл бұрын
@@jacolee5596 Yeah, pad deposits is my guess, just keep going and keep braking hard and it eventually goes.

Why didn't you use the rpx pads
@adrianc1012 жыл бұрын
@@jameswilson8820 So I’ve used both RP-1 and RP-X. Both phenomenal. Both have their pros & cons. RP-X works fully from cold and brake harder but I found them to be super sharp and bite too hard. So I’ve since gone back to RP-1 which are useless from cold. They take a few hard brakes to get up to temperature but they’re much easier to modulate on track and last longer.
