Thanks for clearing that up and posting. Eberlestock is priced and promoted as too good of a manufacturer for them not to be 100% accurate in their descriptions. Most people know it can be buyer beware off some sites and with some manufactures, but you shouldn’t have to question the reliability and credibility of Eberlestock info. Good find and research. Thanks again.

I whole heartedly agree with you Ellbee. For a company charging about 250.00 a pack they should absolutely have their info on the company website and their vendors correct.

Thank you for running this to ground. This is exactly the reason that I haven’t bought one and I too have a “light speed” that I already have but is just a bit small for my purposes.
@BlackFlagSummitClub Жыл бұрын
Yeah I came to the same conclusion with the Litespeed which I ran for about 3 years. Ultimately, I found it too heavy for EDC, too small for an overnight bag and a bit cumbersome to get into the main compartment. I really wanted something with a full flat lay or at least something that would allow my full access to the interior something like the MR Urban Assault, the Khard 30, or the Switch blade which I ultimately went with primarily for the price and volume.
@RyanH0809 Жыл бұрын
Can confirm, this pack is functionally the same as all of its competitors in the 24 - 27 liter range. I bought the Eberlestock Switchblade, Mystery Ranch 2-Day Assault, 5.11 Rush 12, Vertx Gamut 3.0 and First Tactical Half Day + backpacks and they're all basically the same in capacity, mostly just trading blows in terms of pocket layout and features.
@BlackFlagSummitClub Жыл бұрын
Youre not wrong in a way. I mean when it comes down to it a pack consists of a main cavity and a suspensiyon system - each brand and model will have differnt pocket configurations, access deaign, and feature details and this just comes down to personal prefence and Price vs. value. I went with the SB because after carrying various clamshell Style packs for years, i wanted somthing that had more of a lay flat design like the MR packs and as much as i Love everything MR, i couldnt justify the Price at the time.

This came up for me recently looking at the halftrac. Seemed things were very here and there off comparing dealers or what's on the EBS site. Some dealers didn't even have current generation. So having already loved my HPG HR chest rig I took a chance on the Aston house backcountry and never looked back.

Good video. I was wondering about this, myself. It definitely looks a lot bigger than "1050". I'm definitely an Eberlestock fan.....but they need to get stuff like this right. I'm sure they have lost potential buyers for this backpack, listing it at "1050"....

@@HenryHHHz14 yeah, when I called the EBS customer service (the number is in my video) I was getting some different answers as well. But I can confirm that it is indeed a 1500c/I pack and the F5 SB and the SB is the same pack with the exception of the MOLLE and Loop panel.

@@BlackFlagSummitClub if you’re curious, this is the response it got … “Actually, there was nothing changed to the pack. Our initial measuring of the pack was just off, and we went through a number of our EDC and Mission packs and re-measured the volumes to be a more accurate depiction.”

So, they made a bag that can carry firearms, but don’t make zippers that are lockable. Makes no sense.
@BlackFlagSummitClub Жыл бұрын
The premise of the EDC is that your would always have the pack on you or within arms reach and allow you to have quick and easy access to your CCW. Adding a lock would kind of defeat the purpose of this packs design not to mention, even if the zipper was locked to prevent theft, they could just take your whole bag.
@videogazer801 Жыл бұрын
@@BlackFlagSummitClub having lockable doesn’t hurt at all as it does give options for the consumer
