eBiking on an Island!

I’ve been working in the electric bike industry for many years but I never seem to find too much time to ride for pleasure. In an attempt to change this, I wanted to do something special and take out the Propel Brooklyn team for a group ride around Shelter Island. This is a quaint, little island located off the shore of Long Island and has a lot of beautiful scenery to offer with not too many cars. Our friends Andy and Mary Anna from Electric Bikes A Go Go invited us out to take a tour around the island with them and we wanted to take you guys along for the ride.

I love this. I am in Australia and am about to go on a 3 day bike ride. The other thing I love about this video is you stopped and had beer. Long bike rides doesn't mean you only have to have protein bars and sports drinks, you can stop and have a beer and socialise. Remember, on long bike rides, take time off to smell the roses.

It does indeed depend on what kind of ride you do. But even someone like Valteri Bottas stops and have a coffee. This was more leisurely so yes stop and have a ice cream or beer and enjoy the company you are wirh

That area was a favorite years ago when I lived in CT and would take the ferry from New London to Orient Point. I do remember a rather annoying sign in Sag Harbor to walk your bike but that was years ago and I am sure by now that has changed. I enjoy your videos and you played a part in getting me started on the next chapter of my cycling journey, a tandem ebike that will arrive in August.

Love the spirit of adventure and even though our "ocean " is Lake Ontario here in Hamilton, I love the idea of a ferry ride to bike! ? - It's the sense from an E-Bike to make long tours and maybe bike vacation in your free time. Here in Germany are some special bike vacations. E.g. hundreds kilometers along a river with hotels or camping places prepared for bikers (with battery loading stations) and where you drive e.g. 100 kilometers a day, sleep there and next day the next stage.

Great documentary of a nice day out cycling! Filming was not the greatest but it was stil fine and it made it more authentic in my opinion. For the music, yes classic rock is amazing. I was 10 in ‘95 so I did enjoy some nirvana and pearl jam. But early 2000’s is when I started to go out and being an annoying teen listening to linking park, Slipknot, Korn etc. Also would love to join a ride with you.

In September last yr I went on an E Bike Tour with Tasmania's , Bicycle Network , ( it was great ) 9 days exploring and enjoying the company of fellow E Bikers . This yr we're hoping for another 9 day adventure and I hope and pray I can download quality Photos to my P C () My old P Collapsed and died and my good mobile phone was lost presumed stolen ) , so I 've had to start all over again !

E-bikes are too light. The additional drag exceeds the energy you would recover. I'd be happy if they just eliminated the internaldrag from the motor when I cut power. That thing gets heavy once the battery dies!

A football team (I'm a Brit, so round ball!) can be part of a massive organisation like Manchester United or it can be a group of kids kicking a ball around the local park, just a friendly bunch of pals getting together. He introduced the bike ride as " with the help of some friends" and then referred to them as a "team" later on which is less personal and more institutional. And its not that semantical. Songwriters, comedians, script writers spend most of their time changing a word or a syllable to something. If they were all in lab coats, sure call em a team. A group of people riding bikes casually is something else. Colleague, companions, partners, friends, accomplices, cohorts, fellow rednecks, whatever, but not team.
