Springfield makes good dam guns,, I’m the guy that loves a bunch of different gun manufacturers and buy guns that impress me no matter what brand it is, but if was told I could only buy guns from one manufacturer for the rest of my life it’s gonna be Springfield,, I’ve just had good experience with every Springfield I’ve owned,, I had a little trouble with a 1911 a few years back but it was just the recoil spring change it and it’s working perfectly to this day,,

I've been carrying the Echelon ever since it's release. Now knowing their is a compact version. This is purely perfect. I will say this. It would be great to see a Echelon package deal that comes with 4 mags (2 standard, 2 extended), Threaded Barrel & an optic already attached. This would be fantastic for a great many people. Bringing in individuals with less knowledge on firearms, knowing that they can buy a almost full build pistol without anymore hassle. Only thing missing would be a flashlight. The echelon is my 2nd favorite pistol I own out of many. Hats of to Springfield Armory for making something that not only operates flawlessly, but looks sexy!

Don’t think I’ve clicked on a firearm video so fast! Thx for the product video! Have loved my Echelon, esp with the Icarus frame, and happy to know I can use the compact frame with my full length slide, thx to another video reviewer who released his video the same time this came out! Do the original magazines work in the compact frame and are there any issues with putting a threaded barrel on this (doubt this but got to be sure lol) Thanks again!!!

You're lucky. None of my local shops will even try to get them in. I ask EVERY time I stop in and they always reply, "no one asks for them". Really? I finally found a 4.5F last week and snagged it while the Gear Up program was running. Now, I'll have to handle one of the 4.0Cs.

Had the full-size echelon loved the gun but that ambidex mag release is troublesome had my mags slide right out my gun because the exposed button was pushed far too many times

Have a hellcat pro 3.7 was great and accurate at first now doesnt shoot straight for s*** and the barrel and comp still all over the place. Was thinking about an echelon but got a canik sfx s and havent looked back

Under slide lock reload, when i insert the magazine at speed the slide is sending itself back home. There's a 50/50 chance whether there's a round going with it. If I put the mag in nicely, I need to use the slide release

You'd be paying way more for firearms if they were all made in America that most people wouldn't be able to afford (which is ironically what we'll see under Trump soon in other industries). Gun makers wouldn't be able to survive if they were to stop importing. Some of yall need to get over the obsession with "American heritage." Be glad that we're able to buy the guns we can at the prices they are.
