I picked this up earlier this year for $630 on fb marketplace. I am a huge Echo fan but am convinced this is the same as the Ryobi Model #RYi2322
Recently we had our first long power outage at over 30 hours and this unit worked fantastic. I purchased this with about 80 hours on it and now it's up to 115.6 hours.

I don't think the motor is made by echo in the Ryobi which is the most important part. Ryobi is owned by TTI and so is Homelite so it is likely a Homelite engine. Echo is owned by Yamabiko and as far as I know the two parent companies are not directly affiliated. An engine made by Echo would be worth the $300 difference in price alone. The body of the generator is likely made in the same factory between the Echo and the Ryobi which is why there are similarities between the two.

I know TTI and Echo collaborated in the past. The Echo 58v OPE line was made by TTI. You do have a good point, there could be quality differences in the components to justify the $300 price difference. On both models the engines stickers meet 125 hours for the EPA but there could be differences in the design and durability enhancements in the Echo. I haven't seen anything test wise saying how long either can/should last. Having worked quality engineering issues and product development it is possible Echo went in and made enhancements. Unless I experience crazy weather I don't plan on running this all the time or putting on hundreds/thousands of hours. I bought it to run the refrigerators and stuff when the power goes out, however if I start camping I'd use it. I'd love to know how long a generator like this is designed to last hours wise. I've seen a few people talk about Honda's that run food carts for years but I've never seen anything going in depth about life expectancy.

I have Ryobi 2300 and I like the handle bars one on the front and one from one the back make it easy to lift and this Echo handle bars side to side what is the point when already has one middle and so you when lifting it have to stand in front or rear unit.

I know exactly what you mean. I picked up the Ryobi 2300 a few weeks ago nonworking but new for $200. Someone put gas in it and then didn't empty the carb bowl. It has .1 hours on it. I've been meaning to do a video comparing to two units since I now have both. Thanks for watching.

I just spent 730 for A used one with 50 hours in Hawaii because it was the only one available on my side of the island and everything else would’ve been shipped / weeks away I think that variable made it worth it but I definitely like your review❤

Glad it helped. I'm sure you'll like the unit. This reminds me I should get mine out to run ;). I haven't run it since this video. I store mine with either Aspen4 or Trufuel to prevent carb issues as I'm only using mine for power outages. At least that is my use for now. Hopefully one day I'll take it camping.
