I almost only have Stihl stuff but for my next hedgetrimmer i'll try an Echo!

I enjoy seeing all of the improvements Echo made on this new hedge trimmer. My old craftsman just ate another set of fuel lines, I could take the handle apart and change them again but the fuel tank on it is very small and I think I need to upgrade. This looks like it may be the winner.

Got a HC-150 for $60 at a flea market like new runs perfect, wondering how much of a difference the updated models really are?

If that HC-150 is still running good, then run it til it dies. For $60 you won't be losing anything. The newer models are mostly lighter weight and easier to maneuver. In some cases they have a bit more power.

Can you tell me why I've had to replace mine three times since September my blade goes clank and they lock up any ideas

When that happens it is usually due to a nick in one of the teeth on the blades. Check each individual cutting edge on the blades one by one and look for any dings, dents, or blemishes and that's going to be the cause of your problem. A lot of times that imperfection causing the blades not to slide smoothly over each other can be cleaned up and fixed with file.
