Thank you. I have that exact blower. I bought the kit from Hipa, about 2 yrs ago. But I haven't put it on yet because I developed a disability that keeps me from working on small engines anymore. I hate that because I enjoyed it so much. Did it just as a hobby, for my church, friends, and my own equipment. Inherited my mechanical ability from my dad. My blower is very hard to start, and won't stay running unless I vent the gas tank by opening the cap. I am pretty sure the tank vent line is clogged.

I picked up one of those spark Check'r through Walmart a few years ago for 34 bucks, great price for an awesome device, I love it when you can't see a regular spark checker, it keeps flashing so you can walk around to see, really cool. A must for any small engine mechanic. Sadly Walmart is out of stock.

Just a short comment. I would consider informing your viewers to try use ethanol free gasoline. Most areas that carry it here in MI call it 'Rec' gas. It is usually 89 or 90 octane. Do not miss understand, it is NOT about the octane amount rather it is about not running gas with ethanol in all your gas powered lawn and garden equipment, i.e. lawn mowers, lawn tractors, line trimmers, leaf blowers, chain saws, power washers, portable generators, etc. It is the ethanol that messes these carbs, fuel lines, grommets, etc. Use ethanol free gas with some stabilizer added. With the four strokers, if the unit has a fuel shut off valve, turn off the gas and run it till it runs out fuel. Keep that gas out of the carb if it sets around for too long.
@staind288
@staind288 Жыл бұрын
Can't get it in most places (like my Area) and canned man made fuel is too pricey. Canned fuel is also very unreliable due to some batches having more octane than other batches. Some equipment run like poo on it

Good advice I always run non ethanol in all my small equipment
@doublewide6
@doublewide6 Жыл бұрын
We have non ethanol fuel locally, the trick is to empty out the fuel at the end of the season. I empty them usually and let the tank dry with the cap off. After they dry out in a few days a cap them to keep out the dust.
@doublewide6
@doublewide6 Жыл бұрын
Not a fan of the canned fuels. As a homeowner I recommend battery powered tools to most my customers. Milwaukee makes a good chainsaw, and leaf blower easy to do if they already have a brands battery packs at home.

We know we can probably buy kit for the original carburetor, but can we buy a kit for the HIPA carburetor? Don't get me wrong, I think this is an incredible deal! I'm just suggesting that possibly we should keep the original carburetor for a possible future repair should we have it that long. Whoops, my hoarder personality may be showing

As for hipa360, a few people I know have had issues, like a carb bowl nut not being drilled out properly, I myself they sent me a carb for a briggs for review, and in my review I called them out for bad stuff, they got mad at me, but so be it, you can't sell stuff that doesn't work, and expect me to give it a good review, they need to step up their quality control, so pieces like the one I reviewed don't get out into circulation.
@doublewide6
@doublewide6 Жыл бұрын
On those four cycle carbs it’s important to open the carb and clean any debris metal shavings that are inside the bowl. Poor quality control is the reason for this weather the carb is aftermarket or OEM.

I run 87 octane corn gas in all my equipment, and have a small engine repair shop, go figure. Old gas with water in it that is premium non ethanol is no better, and I see it all the time. Anyway, always better to keep original Zama or Walbro carburetor and clean it, replace metering diaphragm, etc. then replace with cheap Chinese carburetor. I replace carburetor with aftermarket on if too far gone, damaged, etc.

This blower was mine and I tried cleaning the carb ultrasonic cleaner and all and the machine still would not run right. I bought an aftermarket carb, and the machine ran lousy. Hipa asked if I wanted to try their product and I knew I had this blower sitting on the shelf. I got to tell you I am very impressed with the way this carb. ran right out of the box. There are also 2 small hidden adjustment screws with access on this aftermarket carb. I think Hipa has better than most quality control, because I have used some of their 4 cycle carbs that fit well and ran well. It is worth (in my opinion) replacing an OEM carb with a good aftermarket if you can do it yourself and avoid the costly bill of a small engine shop. Thanks for your comment.

Hey Bob just wanna let you know I have the exact same echo leaf blower PB250 and I ordered off of your link for same and it’s a totally different carburetor instead of throttle being a cable it is a solid rod with a z bend which will not connect and the rest looks different as well It was the same item you had so it wasn’t different in that regard My guess is there was more than one carb setup for this blower unfortunately I probably am out the money but I think it’s imperative that you state to others that may order this kit that they May actually be getting a different carburetor kit for the echo PB 250 Definitely not good If you find out anything please leave me a reply thanks I appreciate any information Update: just investigated my carb on my unit and it’s a walbro and luckily I found the exact one on Amazon however it wasn’t as cheap as hipa!! However I really do like this piticular echo blower so I ordered carb
@doublewide6

@@doublewide6hanks for the heads up Bob Yeah I should have it Friday I knew though that it was going to be more being a OEM lol and it’s not a kit it’s just the carb but I think walbro is a sound company.
