An excellent video. I am in my 3rd reading of the Course in Miracles. Deep meditation really helps to find your inner Peace. You learn to be still and know that He is God, meaning your awareness, your being, and your very consciousness is God. Abraham-Hicks calls it your Source. Meditate for 15 minutes everyday for a week and you will find deep Peace. You will be able to still your mind. Once you can do that, your life will change and you won't have to do anything. Just let go and watch what happens. The presence of God is the Grace of God, is the Peace of God, Is the Love of God within you. Then you will see that your consciousness is God. You are not God, but God is within you.....Sal : )

I made several discoveries - not Earth-shattering, but very valuable for myself. First, at the start of learning meditation I released all muscle tension and sat, nothing more. Then, at some point, I noticed I can also 'release my mind tension' and lower my inner noise from chaotic, random thinking and descend into an energetically lower state of observation of the thoughts instead of getting carried away by those thoughts. Then, over time, I discovered, that in everyday life (not in meditation) I can also get into this same lower energetic state - avoiding getting into the drama, the conflict, the stress. It is like flipping a switch from 'taking part in the negative situation' to 'placing myself outside this negative energy'. I can still physically be in the spot of drama, but choose not to be mentally. By doing so, all those external impulses do not really reach inside of me anymore - which is such a relief for a sensitive person like me. May this comment help somebody on their spiritual journey.

But am a long lover of Eckhart and what one realises after a while is that the underlying messages are all the same
@j.d.miller4203 Жыл бұрын
@@MiaK06 "The Course is but another revealed (by an unchallengeable authority) renunciate ideology that separates the spiritual from the mundane, the pure from the impure, the selfless from the self-centered. It says listen to your own voice, but programs what your voice will say by taking away the validity of experience, reason, thoughts, and disapproved of emotions. Like gurus, it then fills the vacuum it creates with its own renunciate worldview offering the same old coin of eternal bliss. Nothing could be more authoritarian, for who could argue against a disembodied spirit with the credentials of a traditional God?" - from 'The Guru Papers: Masks of Authoritarian Power' by Joel Kramer and Diana Alstad.
@summerjaya704 Жыл бұрын
@@j.d.miller4203The Course does not ask you to listen to your own voice for answers. It guides you to understanding there is more than one voice in you, that of the ego and that of the Self.. It certainly doesn't separate the spiritual from the mundane. It teaches the Holy Spirit can use anything at all, any everyday situation or thing to help you remember God. You are reminded to being your awareness into the present and offer to the Holy Spirit the encounter or situation you are in so that it may be made Holy and be the best tool to help you remember God. More importantly it teaches that the answer to your questions and wants will be provided to you by your brother and not by God directly. Revelation is rare and should inspire awe. Miracles are everyday occurrences and awe is not an appropriate response. Gratitude is. The points you make are not true. There are faults in the Course, but not what you suggested. Sometimes the Course can facilitate a sense of futility because if nothing is ultimately real anyway then what is the point? It also can be a lonely journey as it categorically emphasises that this is a personal course and should be undertaken alone. Whilst I personally do not like religion, I can admit that grouping together to pray or worship removes loneliness in many people. ACIM students don't have that and many (like myself) practise for many years alone before meeting fellow students.

The first time I tried the Course I got to about Lesson 50. I stopped because I was crying constantly during the day. I will try it again, as I've been receiving therapy and hypnosis.

I’m reading the book now. The author, whoever it is, or whatever it is, speaks in a very “demanding” yet kind way. It’s interesting to see people name “who” they think it is that wrote it. Either Jesus, Yahweh, Allah, or the Universe itself. When all of these concepts are simply manifestations of Spirit. I don’t know what the truth of how this book was written, but it is truly and utterly profound.

I studied the Course (+ did the work book) and I learned to hate it. The C(o)urse is escapism and turns u into Love&Light-Zombie. Just research it‘s connections to the C-I-A.
@4give5ess Жыл бұрын
@@Mischwesen_official Not so, my friend. And if you had opened your mind to Jesus' teaching, you would understand that hatred is a projection of guilt. So, to hate anything is to maintian the illusion that guilt exists in someone or something else while holding onto the belief in your own guilt. To point of forgiveness is to release you from this deep-seated belief.

@@Mischwesen_official no connection. Bill T quit the CIA in 53. Right when the people he was working with developed MKUltra. The only connection is he saw that what they were doing was wrong and he went into another direction. He is clearly 1,000,000 miles away from the mundane hate humanity is dealing with. Bill is a awesome brother that was big friends with Jesus.

ACIM's goal is to facilitate the removal of the blocks to the awareness of the presence of Love in the Mind. Love cannot be taught because it is our true nature as Spirit created by God. Spirit is real, ego is not. Kenneth Wapnick, who edited the original manuscript typed by Bill Thetford from Helen Schucman's scribed notebooks which she dictated to him, wrote much helpful material on the Course before he transitioned. Incidentally, it is A Course in Miracles not The Course in Miracles... That may seem to be a minor distinction but the Course is merely one form amongst many of the Universal Course and as ET says... It's not for everyone. Yet everyone must eventually learn how our trust and faith in illusions may be undone.

Thanks for posting about the Course, which was something that Eckhart taught early in his time as a spiritual guide. I appreciate his commentaries, in several videos, which make the Course more accessible than maybe anyone else's. His ability to be kind and not dismissive, his humility and humor, his clarity, and his kaleidoscopic knowledge of philosophy and religion are all such gifts! I am confused by a couple things in this particular video, though. First, he emphasizes the Course's great utility in approaching relationships as spiritual practice. Then he says you don't need the Course if you are no longer having conflict with other people. In other words...everyone I've ever known could benefit from it! Is there anyone not living in a cave who honestly is without judgments and interpersonal conflicts? Really? No irritations whatsoever? Maybe Eckhart...? His discussion of Lesson 1--"Nothing I see means anything"--points to the overall goal of transcending thought and experiencing Oneness that is explicit and so clearly stated throughout the Course. So, by this example the message of the Course is of universal value, NOT just for those experiencing conflict with others...which is everyone, anyways. After working with the Course for many years, I still find its daily guidance challenging and inspiring. I'm both astonished by it, in many ways, and grateful for how it has solidified my experience of Oneness and decreased the judgments of myself and others which still arise in my mind.

🤣 you're have a conflict with Eckhart Tolle!
@JT-vt5kk2 жыл бұрын
@@janelliot5643 Is disagreeing about something that is said a conflict?. Conflict, as defined in this discussion, is about anger or other fear-induced emotions that result in, and come from, a sense of separation. I most definitely do not have that with Eckhart. He's been an inspiration since I read "The Power of Now" over 20 years ago.

The course is about forgiveness. First others, ourselves and the world. We are one so we are praying for our oneness. I'm just learning it but my thoughts are receding as the more I forgive I don't think as much. I first read The Disappearance of the Universance. Shocked me but saved me a great deal of time. Pointed to the Course. Buddhism is mentioned as just another Good path. Drop illusions, forgive everyone. Anyway, A Course has worked for me. ❤

For Eckhart: Why are the other life forms on earth rarely mentioned in these very human POV teachings? If you have ever had pets that you loved, you probably care about what happens to them like you would family members. They play a role on Earth and are worthy of our respect and compassion.
@JacquelyneMontague Жыл бұрын
I agree with this. From what I had heard through many accounts of near death experiences, souls in the other realm choose to come down and be animals to serve a purpose in growing their soul as humans do. They are just as important as all life on earth.
