That 4th goal is some of the laziest backchecking I've seen in awhile by an NHL team. I haven't watched the Rangers much this year, but that play alone tells me that the players don't care.

This team shouldn’t be taking this much of a step back. It’s really bizarre

Just last season, the Rangers looked poised to win a cup. Insane how quick things change

Poised to win a cup? Because they won the president's trophy?

Hey, I'm new to hockey, so new that I've never seen a full game in its entirety, but I seem to enjoy what I've seen so far. Don't really have ties to any team. Is there a team that's generally fun to watch and has a pretty cool fanbase? I'd like to follow a team and don't know enough about NHL to really select one.

General rule of thumb: Don't pick the rangers. Follow that rule, and you should be pretty good.

I spent my Saturday afternoon crying in my car, but at least I wasn’t watching the rangers playing like this. That would’ve made yesterday so much worse

Rangers are slipping, Islanders are boring, Sabres are just downright pathetic... New York just cannot put together a good hockey team this year.
@macrolfing17877 күн бұрын
Could be worse. Buffalo, San Jose, Anaheim. They'll get it together. That 11.5 looks insane.

what do you think the biggest issue is? there’s barely been any roster changes from last year’s presidents trophy winning team
@LunaT-u8v7 күн бұрын
It was obvious they overachieved last season by both eye test and analytics (which had them as a bottom-half playoff team). It rarely looked this bad though. It's like the team already knows it's just not good enough and is barely even giving it the effort.

Bring back Mike Keenan!!! He won't actually improve the team, but at least we will all feel a lot better knowing that the coach is gonna tear them a new one after every game.

And he could probably get a few of them to waive their no movement clauses...

This is gonna be like the 2017 situation for the Ottawa senators, when the Pittsburgh Penguins eliminated them in the third round and went on to win their third and back to back cups, the Senators couldn’t figure it out in 2018 and crumbled. in the rangers storyline it was the Panthers in the playoffs last year, the Rangers got eliminated in the third round and now they just can’t figure it out either, both teams traded their Captains to. however one was known for his speed and playmaking ability while the other is known for his special ability the flying elbow. Now the Rangers to are crumbling like a underbaked cookie.

i feel like in the sens case was the fact that while they did still have a similar group in 2017-2018 than they did the year prior, they lost quite a bit of depth in the 2017 offseason such as Viktor Stalberg and Tommy Wingels and Chris Kelly and that resulted in the team being depleted in that context and it came down to only their core players carrying the team and that pressure caught up to them due to the fact they had less support in their presence.

Fellow ranger fan - yea man feel the same. Only a couple of players show up on this team but not much. Core of the team is waaaay to soft and like you said effort is just lacking.
