Socialists, capitalist, etc governments don't really care what the label is. The main goal, particularly of the power hungry psychopaths typically in the upper heiarchy, is control. This is why any system that empowers government to violate the basic human rights of life liberty and property will always devolve into authoritarianism. Government is a honey pot for the power hungry....so long as the citizens are ignorant and complacent. It is up to all citizens to know this and persistently keep governments and other groups in check. And this doesn't mean line up and protest for "your portion of the stolen pie." It means when governments overreach, such as creating laws that violate Life liberty and Property or doing so without legislation, citizens must stop it and find ways to prevent it. Limit the scope of government, citizens adopt a hard money like Bitcoin, and then humanity can realize it's potential.

As a creative artist, I studied Advertising Design at Art Center in Los Angeles, now in Pasadena and Vevey, Switzerland. I was asked to teach my advertising course there. I'm not a consumer for every reason! I have food, shelter, travel, entertainment and pay no taxes. I have free heath services and lifelong learning. I keep my hand in and my highest world class standard qualities as a musician and my creative art continues to develop. Money holds no interest for me other than to provide necessities. In terms of AI, we can charge the companies whenever we contribute, i.e. clicking like button, writing a reply, and of course, uploading a video. Since everyone is literally 'generating' a value by doing something that monitored by the big data collector, established by a private company, we can SELL our activity to them! Instead of letting them collect our activity or thoughts freely. I think AI can actually let us implement an economic model like the Silvio Gossel's print money as you work, please mind that I'm not even close to economics. But yeah, I think this could be great opportunity to re-distribute the wealth. But of course, how do we make those big tech to pay us? That's my question now.

Normally the people that understand and can apply the new technology will be winners. and the people that can understand the software and hardware and trouble shoot and repair the problems will be winners. The common workers and their management will be down sized.....they will not be needed when one worker can operate 5 machines and do several times the work that 500 workers did on 500 machines. I seen this working in the semiconductor field. I worked on equipment from the 1970's to 2010 era. A lot of the old stuff is still out there cranking out devices. I retired in 2017. This guy did a poor explanation of what artificial intelligence is and how artificial intelligence impacts society. Please invite another guest to provide the clarity which was not given here. ("Artificial Intelligence" is a massive accumulation of decades of programming and instructional coding. It is evolutionary and is a natural process of technology. The key factor is that 'humans' have programmed "created" the algorithms, and therefore, corporations and business owners have control of the social /economic discrimination determination of the algorithms of the artificial intelligence; it can discriminate racially, ethnically, sexually and in many, many other ways due to the decades of collected human data from around the world until current time, moments, coupled with super microprocessing speed to resolve or address any issues or matters faster than a normal human mind; such as hiring or firing people as an example).

"I'm an economist." ( and have no clue what I am talking about. ) So, Can WE really do BETTER than CAPITALISM?????? In what sense? First you would have to KNOW what it is...and then you would have to provide evidence of what other economic system has even come close to its actual achievements. ( none of those who are in agreement with the initial claim even comes close to "understanding capitalism" nor do they understand the source of the supposed "critiques" of it. ) At a minimum, it is a system that actually produces things that are needed and desired by "the people." As such, it must also provide an incentive to pursue those ends and maintain that incentive despite the "failures" of such efforts. This is an example of the risk vs reward calculation, and there should be no argument that the highest risk is that of death, which would also be an indication of how bad things would have to be if one is willing to risk death in the hopes of improving those conditions or escaping them. One need not look very far for a recent example as 18 farmers undertook that risk in China in 1978, defying the imposed collectivism by dividing the land they were farming into individual plots, and reaping the rewards of their labor whatever the result. This lesson was not lost on the leadership of the CCP regarding the power of "incentive" but the very essence of capitalism which is a direct contradiction of both "collectivism" and the top down conrol of centralized authority but it is not one that is understood by those who claim "We can do better than capitalism" nor do they have any evidence to support that claim because there is none. As a result the only tactic left to them is to distort the meaning of the word and in addition assign all imagined failures to it, when in reality, these are caused by the "central authorities" that control both the "incentives" and the results. While democracy is often believed to be a form of government, its basic form is more of us than them. It is and has always been the most proximate reality to every individual, and it is constant and undeniable. In response, one's choices are limited to immersion or resistance, with the latter being one of degree governed by circumstance, where the extreme risks permanent cancelation, as in the case of Socrates. While it is common to hear exhortations of cooperation over competition, one must be able to discern that which is forced and necessitated by circumstance and that which is voluntary, whose pursuit is directed toward mutual benefit of all the parties involved. As a result, it is not uncommon for those who raise this argument, to attempt to impose its necessity, thereby justifying force, rather than seeking the latter and its achievement via persuasive reasoning.
