Rather, valuing as a multiple of EBITDA is how real buyers in the market determine worth- generally something between 4-10x+. Additionally, the value of a one-employee business is solely based on the performance of that one employee. Now, why would a buyer ever pay 2x AJ's revenue to buy his business if he's exiting? I'm an accountant. Without full access to accounting records, it would be unlikely we could get a good read on net worth. It would also be a long & expensive engagement if we were able to get that access. An economist can use much more general estimates from bank statements, property record valuations, comparatives, etc. Their number would probably more reflect market value, while one coming from a team of accountants would more likely reflect book value. For the purposes of this lawsuit, an economist is likely the cheaper & more expedient choice that also gives a number that more closely aligns with their purpose.

As someone who has done company valuations-an “economist” is hardly qualified to do a proper valuation. Also, he said that last financial records he had were from 2018. I would NEVER estimate a proper valuation missing the last 4 years of financials.

@@infindebula I don't see a reason why somebody shouldn't be able to sell supplements on their website. GNC can do it but Alex Jones can't because he makes powerful people upset?
