One thing id like bring up. I detail/polish/ceramic coat vehicles. Over the past 5-6 years, all the manufacturers have decreased the thickness of the paint/clearcoat significantly. Sometimes, as much as 30%! Most of the time the paint/clearcoat is pretty soft, which means easily scratched. To avoid early paint/clearcoat failure, the manufacturers are pretty much forcing purchasers to install a ceramic coating because of the poor quality paint job. So now add on top of the sticker price a ceramic coating installation. Its no wonder people are keeping their older vehicles and fixing them up.

It does not at all no comparison with bare bones o.e.m. processes today.

Car manufacturers used to make small incremental changes in thier vehicles, usually leaving the drivetrain alone. Now they are changing rapidly in response to demands by the EPA, CAFE etc. They are basically letting the public field test their unproven changes, and many have been horrific failures. Most people don't tow. For those who do tow, they mostly pull light trailers regionally near their homes , towing utility trailers, small campers, boats, motorcycle trailers, hobby cars, personal watercraft and ATVs to local lakes, rivers and campgrounds. Contractors and tradespeople also work regionally, near their homes. These people make money working all day, not towing all day. Working near home makes tradespeople money. Towing and driving cross country all day doesn't make money for contractors. Get it? People who tow heavy massive RVs use heavy duty diesel pickup trucks, not light half ton trucks like the F150 or Cybertruck. EV pickup trucks are perfect for tradespeople, contractors, delivery services, landscape services, public utilities, fleet services and most businesses and workers. They save a lot of money in fuel, maintenance and repairs.

I was ready to buy a new RAM at the last minute of the last day of the year. I clearly stated my offered price out the door and even agreed to $600 more because the rep said he absolutely had to have it to get it through. Right before I left to sign and pick up the new RAM I had the sense to say just send me the contract so we're agreed. BTW, I even agreed to finance it (came back approved) to get the agreed upon price of $56.6K OTD. Guess what? The contract added to the price by $1.5K. The fact I asked to see the paper I was driving almost an hour to sign saved me a wasted trip. I told him to fix it or no sale. The dealership said no sale. I'm sick of inflated prices and the smoke and mirrors in the buying process. I am just happy I didn't need the truck. You'd think a dealer needing that last sale of 2024 wouldn't try this stuff. I clearly said OTD at the start and had repeated it several times for added clarity. I even agreed to an additional $600. It's insulting to the buyer to be clear in what I was offering only to be treated like this. I can't have any sympathy for the manufacturers and dealers. They've done this to themselves. I do not want any of the money we as Americans pay our government for any kind of aid to continue to support this travesty of this whole industry.

Listen to this crazy scenario playing out in Europe right now: Stellantis is basically betting the farm on some seriously sketchy leasing deals. Get this: they’re setting the future “residual value” of certain Opel (Vauxhall), Peugeot and Citroën models at 102% after two years. Yeah, that means they’re expecting these cars to be worth more than they originally sold them for when they come back off lease. It’s like financial alchemy-or a ticking time bomb ready to explode. Right now, you can lease a solid gas car for roughly $250 a month with *zero down* , or an EV for an absurd $70-80 a month. These aren’t gimmicks; these are real numbers from Poland (an EU country), and if your country has EV subsidies even close to or bigger than Poland’s $6,700, Stellantis might end up literally paying customers to take their EVs. It’s a bonkers strategy that could collapse like a house of cards when thousands of these “overvalued” cars flood back onto dealer lots in two years. Is Stellantis racing toward a catastrophic financial pile-up? It sure looks like it, and we all get front-row seats to this slow-motion trainwreck. Buckle up, because this is one ride that could end in disaster.

There is no loss with Nissan. Nothing has been built well since the early 80s.

Up to about 2015 Nissan made very good automobiles. They now make crap.

What is actually really ridiculous is why are they trying to just go all out with electric cars and the infrastructure of the United States with charging units has not even really put a dot on the map. These cars are like driving a kids car for grown ups. It's sad. Give me an ice car anytime!!

I am not rich but I do make about 72000 a year and I'm 38 and my house is paid for , so I could afford a more expensive vehicle but news flash I will never ever pay that ever . I work to damn hard killing myself to buy groceries and I will be damned to put 10000 down to have it repo 6 months later , my generation watched are parents struggle and we won't go into debt to drive . I walked to the bus stop for 2 years . Ford's loosing there ass because the screwed there customer by selling turbo crap and then marked them up these company's screwed us over with markup and reliable and now it's biting them I'm so happy , it brings a smile to my face . I hope they all go bankrupt and the ones that do make it won't have a bunch of tec and there cars will be well made and reliable or they will go bankrupt . Americans are tired and tired of 40,000 cars and trucks I know where I live talking to people at work and neighbors that are middle class said they will buy a horse before they pay the last 10 years price . In 2007 I was young and now almost 40 I smile because I have worked hard and refuse to pay . People think I'm rich but nope just don't give my money away to rich people

They need to bring back the Brazilian CEO who escaped from them in a box crate - he was a crook but at he least he got them to profitability.

Prices definitely won’t keep rising. That’s an irrational assessment considering people can barely afford groceries. We decide the prices, not the others.

It would be easier to buy a low priced Benz than to keep it, maintaining the Benz
