I bought a 2014 CRV this summer, it had 184,000 miles on it. But that didn’t scare me at all, because the car was well taken care of and the oil was changed regularly. I had an 05 Accord with a 2.4 L engine, so I knew how great this engine is. So far so good, no problems at all and I love the vehicle! Looking to get 350,000 to 400,000 miles out of it!

I had a Nissan Titan and on the hwy I got 5 km per litre consistently. At that time I was driving 100 km per day so went through 20 litres per day. Ouch! It is almost like Nissan was trying to get the worse gas mileage of all its competitors.

@dudebud72Ай бұрын
If you went to GM, dodge and ford, you will suffer with reliability. The 5.6 pulls horrible mileage because it doesn’t have fuel saver technology, and pushes carbon past the intake valves. I own a Nissan armada that gets worse mileage than the Titan, and I have zero issues, unlike my previous Denali.

The problem with buying a car with 100,000 plus miles these days. Is they are not maintained properly. And part of that problem lies with the manufacturers. Recommending 7500 to 10,000 mi oil change intervals. Low tension piston rings carbon up real fast if you regularly go over 5,000 mi without changing the oil. It's even worse when it comes to transmission fluid service and cooling system flushes.

The worst in my experience: 2004 Audi a A4. My friend had to replace the CVT transmission 3 times and had to pay the $1500 labor bill the last time. The ignition coils failed one by one while still under warranty. If even one fails, the computer shuts the engine down. Yes, you are STRANDED. The dealer would only replace them when they failed. My friend was left on the side of the road THREE TIMES. It took Audi 2 years to figure it out and did finally replace all 4 coils. Audi does not give a shit about their owners.

Well if you want a reliable car and better reliability, this will be easy to respond with it. First vehicle engine you should buy: Honda K20C-Series like Honda accord 2022 and below, Honda Civic Type R 2.0t and also Acura TLX. These vehicles are excellent reliability sedans with a turbocharged engine, it has a single scroll (not a twin scroll like BMWs) with 252hp and 375nm of torque (272 Ib•ft) with a 10 speed automatic transmission, and Civic Type R with 315hp and 420nm of torque (310Ib•ft) with a 6 speed manual transmission. Those are powerful engine. After 300,000km (150,000 miles) still going strong and still quality better than used before. Roomy and flashy and juicy and way more fun to drive. Second vehicle you should buy: BMW B58B30 3.0t straight 6 cylinder with M3 and X series and Z4… etc. and Toyota GR Supra. These engine are bulletproof, this engine has a twin scroll and GDI engine come 380hp and 520nm of torque (383Ib•ft), some of them have cons here and there but still reliable. Make sure you take care of it and oil changes regularly cause it has a turbocharged engine. Number three on my list you should buy: any of the Nissan with VQ from 3.5 to 4.0 like a patrol/Armada (not VTC) with 3.8 and also with frontier 3.8 and any Infiniti Q series and QX Series and Nissan maxima, and a VR Twin Turbo from 3.0 to 3.8 with Patrol/Armada and QX80 and GT-R and Q50 and Q60. Some of them have a CVT, but the newer Nissan still damn reliable with CVT (in our country in Middle East version). Those are reliable and powerful engines and also it clash the titans of super cars. Number four on my list you should buy: Toyota 2GR-FE 3.5 Naturally Aspirated V6 with Camry (not a garbage 2.5 2AR) way reliable this vehicle than 2.5 engine and way more fast than any of cars, still not decent fuel economy but other than that still very good engine quality and extra reliable V6 engine from Toyota. Number five on my list: Hyundai smart stream 2.5 G2.5 T-GDI turbocharged motor with Kia K5 (optima old name) and Hyundai Sonata N Line and Santa Fe Little shrimp boxy car. I’m a fan with this because this first Hyundai fast turbo engine with fun to drive and reliable if you take care of it. And luxury car with sporty engine. This an excellent car. Number six: Ford EcoBoost 3.5 Twin Turbo GDI engine V6 comes with navigation, f-150 limited and platinum and hybrid and raptor and also expedition. Whopping from 400hp to 450hp with this engine and from 637nm (469Ib•ft) to 691nm (510Ib•ft). Not the best fuel economy but extremely reliable and extremely fast and better than Land Cruiser Twin Turbo VX-R, make sure you take care of it because engine itself it’s great but you need to take care of it, Period. And last but not least, it’s GM 5.3 to 6.2 LT Series V8, with a corvette. Camaro. Tahoe. Silverado. Sierra. Yukon. Escalade. CT5VBW… Etc. Those are naturally Aspirated and the V series comes with Supercharged engine, those are excellent excellently, Pure excellent engine. But please take care of it because it has an AFM (Active Fuel Management Cylinder Deactivation system) or DFM (Dynamic Fuel Management System) it will not break the lifters and camshaft. But no worries about all these still have a hope with this engine
