A bigger issue is that the government is dictating features to manufactures. Expensive features that customers not only don't care about BUT ACTIVELY DON'T WANT. It's not so bad in the USA yet, but it's a huge deal in the EU. Porsche killed the Boxter/Cayman twins after 2025 due to EU regulations -- but NOT emissions regulations. They killed them because cars now need a bunch of active technology to stop people from hacking your car and taking it over! Step1: legislate crazy emissions standards that can't be met Step2: brands respond by going to all drive by wire (all electric steering, etc., to reduce parasitic drag which increases MPG) Step3: legislate crazy "safety features" like your car "seeing the road" and taking over steering Step4: notice that your completely electronic car now be hacked and operated like a full size remote control car Step5: legislate expensive and complex active anti-hacking features Step6: now cars cost 30% more than they should, offer a worse driving experience, and are more expensive and complex maintain. Step7: everyone complains that cars are "too expensive" GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM here!

Even at 6' tall, it's a looong stretch from the driver's seat to roll up/down the passenger window. I have to unbuckle my seatbelt to get over there. A modern mid-size may not be a problem, and I know that the Ranger and Toyota of days past it was NOT a problem. As for the rest of your "simple spec", I mucho agree. Toyota makes a truck that starts at 10 grand and I know a bunch of people that could afford that price and would buy it as soon as it could be available, but because of our sorry government here they cannot sell them here. @@ECPPglorified Volkswagen with so much plastic under the hood that cracks/leaks and audi costs a small fortune to fix. Wouldnt touch any euro vehicle. Over engineered, major components made of plastic. Euro’s are good during warranty then throw away cause they cost $$$$. Total waste unless you’re wealthy.

They stuff all these new vehicles with technology that nobody asked for nobody wants and nobody wants to pay for it that's for sure. All they have to do is convince you that you have to have it and find a way for you to afford it even though you might need a 15-year loan or a second mortgage to do so.

Go back to late 90's, early 2000's tech. No need to build rolling cellphones. I just bought an experienced 99 camry. Best bang for the buck, good mileage. Replaced 4 corner strut assemblies, sway bar links, new tires, a fraction of cost of new junk. Muwahaha. Pay, you fools! I bought tools. Not a poodle for sure. Muwahaha!

If Honda with 3.5 V6 is problem with reliability and even the Nissan too then is there any reliable brands that left?

Actually very few. Mazda and Toyota are still a fairly safe bet aside from the 3.4 V6

"GM’s layoffs also come a day after a report from Reuters that President Donald Trump, preparing for a second term that starts in January, is expected to end the $7,500 consumer tax credit for electric-vehicle purchases. If that happens, Anderson said, consumers will lose the biggest financial incentive to choose an EV."

best truck is Frontier rock solid and high quality i don't like the interior of them though cars toyota may have an edge honda cars are not durable theses days but the hell who wants to pay 1000$ a month and then 200$ for insurance the days of new car sales are not very attractive when the interest rates are off the scale

As far as Ram, Jeep, Dodge goes no one is going to take a chance on a car whose company might not be around tomorrow. They are built like crap you gotta be able to have it serviced.

What would you suggest between 2024/25 rav4 gas vs 2025 crv gas? I’m leaning towards the crv, has better and updated look vs the current gen of rav4, but the 1.5T is cause of concern based on many ppl talking about the potential head gasket issues etc. rav4 no doubt is a solid vehicle currently albeit older look and a bit boring interior in my opinion.

Rebates and discounts my ass they basically are being called on their bluff of just charging whatever the hell they felt like. Trucks for over $100,000 what are you kidding me??? Keep your old car and maintain properly. I currently just bored an extremely cheap Toyota Camry from 1998 and it runs like a champ. It has 140,000 miles and I think I'm going to keep this car until I croak. Go ahead and laugh I don't need a call to tell me where to go or keep me from crashing into another car or make coffee for me in the morning

I feel for the workers, but this market needs correction. A Toyota 4Runner shouldn't start at $41K and go up to $55k. That's a normal person SUV. $55k is NOT a normal person price for a car. Per the online affordability calculators, I can afford a $41K car on a four year loan, if I'm willing to go with a $1K per month payment. That seems like an INSANE amount of money to spend on car per month and I make a very strong salary (easily top 5% in my VERY VERY VERY expensive state). So if you make $200K+ and are financially literate, apparently you can comfortably buy a base model Toyota 4Runner. Yeah... something is wrong in this market and people need to stop wasting their 401K contributions on overpriced shitty mid-market cars. And don't even get me started on the new fad of $100K+ mass market SUVs and Trucks. Unless you're a contractor/laborer and can expense the depreciation on a high trim F150 type of truck you are either (i) very very well off and either just like to pretend to be blue collar, or you legitimately need the utility of a truck for hobbies/home improvement and have so much cash that $100K isn't a big deal, or (ii) you're financially illiterate, totally irresponsible, and love to exist in debt slavery. This market NEEDS to crash so we can get back to normalcy -- normal cars (Ford, GM, VW, Toyota, etc.) for normal wage earners, BMW/Lexus/MB/Audi/Cadillac/Lincoln for high-normal workers, and Porsche/Ferrari/Lambo for the legitimately top 1% of earners. So, basically exactly what has been happening in the auto market for the last 50 years up until Covid caused everything to go insane. Related to the video -- I'm surprised Honda sales tanked. Of ALL the brands, Honda (and I guess Kia/Hyundai, who I still view as a lower tier option -- at least due to their SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT dealer experience) is the only one that I look at their prices and think, "OK, that's not SOOOO bad". If you just need a normal not too small car to get to work and drive your kids around, you can get an Accord for a very reasonable $28k and if you want all the features that a modern car should probably have you can get the top trim for $39K -- which is LESS THAN A BASE MODEL 4RUNNER!
