Chris Bradley don’t think you can really compare the two, Ed is a main stream pop artist while John has said more than many times he doesn’t desire to be in a such category, which is why Eds net worth is way higher. He makes a song and then it’s overplayed on the radio. I don’t think you can argue Ed is more creative than Mayer. Mayer has seamlessly combined multiple different music genres into one. He’s a WAY WAY WAY more versatile artist than Sheeran as well. He can kill pop, blues, and smooth American west. Ed appeals to the typical pop crowd today (which is where he makes his money) while Mayer in a sense is keeping the rock and role/blues crowd happy and alive. I don’t think you would also even argue who is more musically talented. It’s quite obviously Mayer. So no I do not think that just because Ed’s net worth is higher he’s the better artist. You’re quite foolish for saying so.

Ever listen to Fallout Boys cover of Beat it. That's Mayer playing the Van Halen inspired Solo. He also mostly plays Blues Rock and is one of the best at it. As a drummer, I've been struggling with how best to play this tune and I'm so glad I inadvertently came across this. I'd been trying to play acoustic drums to an electronic record which doesn't always sound good - to my ears. It has everything in the playing that I wanted, but wasn't thinking of.
