Ed Sheeran has better voice, John has better guitar playing. I see them complimenting each other. This is coming from a john mayer fanboy
@360.Tapestry
@360.Tapestry 2 жыл бұрын
nah, he's perfectly qualified and he's demonstrating it with subtlety. i'm not a john mayer fanboy, but i do believe one of john mayer's best traits as a musician is that he's a guitar maestro who doesn't feel the need to steal the shine from a composition (sometimes to a fault, as that's what a lot of nerds want to see). he typically chooses clean lines and tasteful flourishes over crowbarring showy playing that's clearly out of place

@longdrums

@@ezekielroberts8161 yeah man, I'm not saying it's not difficult. The difficulty is mainly why it sounds off, but to say John is overqualified for this like the original comment said, when he's pitchy is just bullshit. Also, why put a performance on at this level, in front of this many people, and not rehearse harmony lines (if they did indeed not practice beforehand).

When your legs don't work like they used to before And I can't sweep you off of your feet Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70 And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23 And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe just the touch of a hand Oh me I fall in love with you every single day And I just wanna tell you I am So honey now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud Maybe we found love right where we are When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades And the crowds don't remember my name When my hands don't play the strings the same way, mm I know you will still love me the same 'Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it's evergreen Baby your smile's forever in my mind and memory I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe it's all part of a plan I'll just keep on making the same mistakes Hoping that you'll understand But baby now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud That maybe we found love right where we are, oh So baby now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Oh darling, place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud That maybe we found love right where we are Oh baby, we found love right where we are (maybe) And we found love right where we are

John mayer lastly said "SUGOI" that means great in Japanese. And his pronunciation is so cool, and his guitar solo is literally SUGOI!

For me, both of them resemble a unique "shatter " of the art itself. They excel. They bring their souls into the art of creation. This is way past music... it's art now. Masterpiece is what they do. Only true, committed artists like you reach up to this. God bless you !
