I think people forget that Taylor literally asked Ed to open for her on the Red tour during his first album’s release. She’s so excited because that’s her FRIEND and HIS dream, much like hers, finally came true. She was in his shoes once: opening up for people on tours. And when she won her first Grammy she was thrilled. She gets to see that happen to not only a friend, but someone that SHE asked to open for HER. She’s excited that his dream came true too.

I hate that they rush the winners of the general field so much. They are excellent musicians who have probably dreamed a life time to write the song or the album of the year, or record&produce the record of the year. Also the best new artist (usually a very young person) deserve respect. Most of them will never ever win from the general field again, not everyone is Adele. This is their moment, the least they should worry about is a countdown ticking down quickly from the moment they start talking. HECK, give them a minute or two more if they need, no ones getting hurt, no one will die of starvation, the show will last 10 minutes longer.
