I had three VW beetles in the early 1970s: a 1957 which I bought for $125, a 1955 which I bought for $55, and a 1956 which I got for $45. I never drove the '56, but used it for parts. The '57 could go >80mph, but it failed inspection in 1972, when the inspector kicked a hole in the rusted floorboard with his boot....hahaha.

I have a 64. what sucks about a vw beetle is how obnoxious people are on the road around it, cutting it off, zipping around it, tailgating it etc. I mean they are slow but they aren't THAT friggin slow.

I find it distasteful, I could use stronger words, that Brewer is using all of this Ed content in these repeats and very likely not giving him any monies from their reposting. Ed was what made these programs interesting, not the annoying content supplied by the less than charming Mr Brewer.

Why in the world would you replace the coil and cap before cleaning or replacing the points? While plugs were out,it would have been easy to put a 13/16 on the gen.,with key on,and check for spark AT THE PLUG(S)! just sayin'

May be if we sat down and realized what things we do have not really nessacary in our lives slow down as I have done I wonder would we all get along nicer respect each other nicer enjoy life more be healthier I know for sure since March 2020 Covid pandemic has not been a help to my health as a nursing home resident restrictions on visitors going out for trying for nicer medical healthcare I donot get here sitting around all day by the bed excercise not enough bad for a stiff body boring dull life style what do I do activities here are well some but three years plus now not even ten hours outside world food is well no worse or nicer than us army food well it depends all awful no my senorita cougar myself her cub senor never did she give me serve bad food hoping soon to have an afternoon outside world again as we use to do five times a year was it restriction this way living hurts my health care I just can not go out by myself places to see things or do more we have nurses doctors here but we’ll not enough done from all my left arm bad from small stroke yes a stroke center here but I get 100x nothing from there in my past I had urine sepsis infection nearly dead from it when you are not proper health or care donot play games or wait years as was my care on sepsis I nearly died from it also I can not go out to do things really hurts gracias volks
