What a strange experience, as a mid 50s cynical old fool I stumble on a cover by one of the greatest live bands ever ( 17 times with Stuart) and for some reason my vision becomes very blurred , then I read the comments and realise it’s not just me it’s had that effect on . A man much missed but Eddi did him proud . Stay Alive!

This brings tears. Reminds me of my first year at uni with my flat mate playing this in his room, sitting talking till 2am, missing lectures, experiencing life away from home for the first time, as growing up with never forgotten memories.

I’m at a loss as to why it’s took a 25 years after his departure for this iconic music to be aired again, However, hopefully people can enjoy as I did listening to this most wonderful music, LONG LIVE BIG COUNTRY X

I was shot through the heart by this song 40 years ago. Their first album with this song is one of the best albums of my life. And I used to listen to Eddi Reader a lot. Her singing voice is cute and transparent, and it's awesome.

Stunning. Puts a great song in a different, wonderful place. The whole ensemble did a great job. Every time I find myself reminiscing about the best live performance I ever saw, I always go back to BC at the NEC arena in Birmingham in 1983. 14,000 fans. The whole place was jumping from start to finish. The passion from all four of the band was unbelievable. I miss Stuart and often wonder about what he might have gone on to achieve. RIP.
