As someone who fostered and then adopted our oldest son, I appreciate listening to other people who get it. We never hid our stories, which are bad enough to make other people never want to adopt. But posting just happy moments would never be genuine. All of these kids are hurt and their young brains kind of puke out a lot of stuff in ways they don't necessarily intend. Congrats for being patient and seeing it through.

The testing never stops. They just want to know that you are there. Adults kids need that too, "will you be there to listen to me when I have a hard day?"
