Really? LeBron has more points, rebounds, assists, higher field-goal percentage with less shot-attempts than Jordan, higher 3-point percentage with less shot-attempts than him, 4 rings (only 2 less rings than Jordan), been to the Finals 4 more times than Jordan (10), and he outpaces him in every category? Either you are blind, delusional, or just hating.

Juan Tijerina... As much as I like MJ, he wouldn’t have won 8 straight championships. He lost the fire and had “nothing to prove”, his own words. MJ had to leave to regain it. Without the fire and passion, he would’ve lost to hungrier teams. 95 Rockets who beat Shaq’s Magic 4-0 in the Final would’ve been MJ’s toughest Finals competition ever. MJ is the GOAT but it’s not impossible. And Rodman didn’t join till 96.

When I first heard someone say Lebron is better than Jordan, I thought they were joking. Jordan is better without question. Jordan has: - 3 more rings - 3 more finals MVP - 2 3-peats - 1 more season MVP - 4 more All-defensive 1st teams - 3 more All-defensive teams (total selection) - Won a DPOY (Lebron never did this) - 9 more Scoring Leaders - Won Steals leader 3 times (Lebron never won one) - Lebron took longer than Jordan to reach his playoff points record - Jordan never scored less than 22 points in a finals game. Lebron melted down in 2011 vs. mavs (8 points in 1 game), 2014 vs. spurs (air conditioning), and 2018 vs. warriors (0-4) - Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (lebron only beat 10) - Jordan never AVGed under 40% FG in the finals (Lebron did twice) - Jordan never had a teammate who AVGed over 22 points in the finals (Kyrie Irving scored 27.1ppg in 2016 finals) - Jordan is the only player ever to lead a team to the finals with only one other teammate (Scottie Pippen) AVGing double digits in scoring - Jordan never allowed a game 7 in the finals. Lebron's 2016 finals win was a 4 point difference in a game 7. - Lebron scored 30 pts 416 times in 1,117 games. Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games - Jordan is undefeated in the finals with 6 wins and Lebron has lost 6 times and only won 3 times - Jordan has had 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then did it again the next year - Has had 5 playoff series averaging at least 40 ppg - Highest scoring avg in any finals ever: 41 ppg vs. Charles Barkley's Suns in '93 - Only rookie ever to lead his team in 4 stats - Only player ever to lead in scoring, win MVP, and DPOY all in the same season - Only player ever to lead in scoring and win finals in the same season more than once, and he did it 6 times - 1 of 2 players ever to drop 3,000 points in 1 season, only other player is Wilt Chamberlain - Only player to score over 40 pts at age 40 (he did it twice) - Earned All Star Game MVP, NBA scoring leader, League MVP, and DPOY in the same year ('88) - Jordan's AVG playoff PER of 28.6 is above Lebron's 28.28. In fact, MJ has the highest playoff PER ever. - Jordan's peak PER of 31.71 is above Lebron's 31.67. Jordan also has the highest peak PER ever. - Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron never came close to this stat line. - Playoffs stats: - Jordan AVGs 33.4 points over Lebron's 28.9 - Jordan AVGs 2.1 Steals over Lebron's 1.8 - Jordan has better Free Throws at 82.8% over Lebron's 74.3% (almost 10% difference) - Best Playoff Season: - Jordan's playoff season record for PPG is 43.7 over Lebron's 35.3 (over 8 points) - Jordan's playoff season record for SPG is 2.8 over Bron's 2.3 - Jordan's playoff season record for BPG is 2.3 over Bron's 1.8 - AVGs 1.6 offensive rebounds total career over Bron's 1.2 - In only 11 seasons with the Bulls: - 10 scoring titles - Won DPOY - 9x All-defensive team - 9x All-NBA - 5 league MVPs - 6 Finals MVPs Is the choice obvious now?

So Lebron's body of work says he is the GOAT, Shannon? What exactly is LeBron's body of work? Play for 20 years? Bunch of rebounds and assists? Bunch of finals appearances? That doesn't make him the GOAT. LOL. Jordan consistently dominated at both ends of the floor as a SHOOTING GUARD, and his determination and will to win was unrivalled. Jordan was more than stats and trophies, he was transcendent, a clutch athlete of near unbreakable proportions. He left for two years and came back like he was never away. Even his Washington years as an individual player, as his 40s dawned, were better than they're given credit for. Even people outside the States know basketball is 'that game Michael Jordan plays'. LeBron James is brilliant, but unless he wins a string of Finals before retiring, he'll never surpass Jordan as the GOAT.

Let’s settle this discussion by defining greatness. It coming up big in big moments, and the weight that that your body of work carry on those moments. And to that what Jordan did on the court was unmatched in that regard as a scorer defender and ultimately closer. Because body of work requires mental toughness and competitive drive to translate into greatness, which lachoke James lacks, plus you can’t build a legacy of greatness when you keep moving and jumping ship.cause that way your body of work becomes too dispersed to have any lasting memorable impact.
