Why it's not clearly James.. - everything needs to run through him.. it's not easy to play with that.. and he's old and I don't care what anyone says, he's not as good as he used to be. But.. lbj still good enough to be 1) 3 - Steph (changes the whole game when he's in. I can hear a reasonable argument for #1 Bec of how he effects the entire game) 4 - Klay (don't freek out.. give me a sec.. second best shooter.. arguable in history. Top defender, makes great decision [that's underrated in basketball because of how it effects the entire team], capable of scoring 60, but selfless enough to take a back seat to not 1 but 2 players [also extremely underrated aspect] 5/6 - Lenard AD (I wouldn't argue that either of them could b 3) 7/8 - Draymond & Iggy (can hit the open 3 and guard multiple positions, which allows their team to play several lineups and always have the advantage. Also, both are athletic enough to cause havoc on D and on the boards. Also very selfless players) 9 - Harden (I can hear a reasonable argument for top 3 for him) 10 - Paul George (wait till he's away from Russ and everyone remembered how good he is.. no holes in good game. Could be higher) 11* - Greek free 12* - Simmons (style of play that effects the team.. again, vastly underrated. He could very well be #1 in a few years. I believe he'll dominate the league almost as much as James has) *Just missed the cut, but good enough to be in the top tier

J G not sure today’s players are truly more skilled and athletic than the 80’s and 90’s. If you check out the prime time footages of Magic, Bird, Kareem, and Hakeem, John Stockton...you’ll find they are actually very skillful and have very high basketball IQ. If you go see Wilkins, Drexler, David Robinson, Karl Malone, Rodman, Barkley (yes. Sir Charles can explode like a dynamite!) you’ll find them very athletic and strong. Not to mention MJ, a perfect combination of skills and athleticism. 90’s is indeed a more intense and competitive era than today. That’s not a question at all.

Some people won't put KG in the top 50 player s of all time which is ludicrous but every other player in the list is correct. Kenyon killed Colin about the 90's, not to mention back then guys actually had a mid range and post game, that's completely gone from most players now. Style of play is the difference, everything is pick n roll and flow and 3's on today's game, less defense.

C B Taylor The "tough defense" on Mike is exaggerated a bit. Pistons beat him down in the late 80's but they did that to everyone. Teams like the Knicks kept hard fouls in the game but most teams didn't. They used hard fouls to compensate for lack of skill. The game is in a much better place now. John Wall has to make a case again Simmons was winning games with Embiid out and in one season is doing more than the wizards.. Love what Kenyon said about hand checking. It's so much harder to score before than now. Big learned to shoot better because theres's not much resistance anymore. Imagine if you hand check big guys 15 to 20 feet away from the basket now and see if they can even make a good shot being out of balanced and out of rhythm and not on the spot that you wanna be in.
