At the end when Gilbert came off top rope with a boot on Marlin’s back, that had to hurt.

What a great match of two southern Ledgends

The first time I ever saw Eddie Marlin was in 1988 in Dallas @ the Cotton Bowl for the "Texas vs Tennessee" shoot out! It was the Texas crew of Kerry and Kevin Von Erich with Frank Dusak against the Tennessee crew of Jerry Lawler, and Jeff Jerret with Eddie Marlin! This was all happening when Jerry Jarrett bought into WCCW! "World Class Wrestling" was just about all but done in Texas!

Well, this is an oddity - a very bloody match in which two old pros compete not for a pin or a submission but to be the first to remove both of the other guy's cowboy wrestling boots.

Boots Hartman Kinda strange... I get that the promoter shouldn't pin the rassler, though.

spurmarks That's amazing heel heat... Have a suspicious bag in your corner with all the fans waiting for you to cheat with it. Towards the end, open the bag up, and attach your spurs.
