@@coldwinter5710 I'm going to ask did you see him do this for any other bands? Not to mention there from Louisiana I believe. Which is where his wife at the time Valerie Bertinelli and her whole entire family were from. Trust me when I tell you this he agreed to do this because of a family relationship. It's not good music and it doesn't matter what genre it is this is just not a good bad. Eddie knew that and you could tell by the interview. He was very joyous about his music and you can see he believes that this is a fraud he doesn't normally act that way. Quite truthfully I'm sure he felt terrible for having to do this
@ronaldwhayesjr Жыл бұрын
He did not have a big love for pop. In fact there are hundreds of interviews where he expresses emphatically that he does not listen to any modern music of any type. Now think about where this band was located and you'll begin to understand the reason he did this. He did not do this for any other band with the exception of Michael Jackson when he put a lead in a song for him which took him all of about 5 minutes and he only did it because he was there and Michael asked them not because he liked pop music. This band was located and around the area where his wife's family Hometown was. He was talked into doing this for his wife's family I believe his brother in law explicitly. If you look at Edwards life in total he never did this before and he never did it after. And in addition to those facts let's face it this is not a good band maybe pieces of the band have some talent but this is not a good song nor is it a great band. Edwards wife and where her family asked him to do a favor and that's as far as it goes.

All the comments say”this is a joke” or “Eddie didn’t really like the band”, Maybe Val. had some influence to get Eddie help them out, or maybe Eddie actually liked the a lot, either way they aren’t a bad band, their not Van Halen, but Ed has more likes then just VH, Ed seemed like a very down to earth nice guy. And maybe he just saw a band that had potential and actually liked the members of the band, and gave them an opportunity, and what an amazing opportunity, imagine hanging out in the studio with EVH, and him producing your album, imagine being the guitar player, being offered advice from the GOAT, and just think if EVH said to the guitarist “hey try this”, and the guitar player didn’t really like eddies suggestion. I have played in bands for along time, and I never had someone, anyone much less EVH say hey let me help you out on your demo.

I read In Valerie Bertinelli's 2008 autobiography, "Loosing It" that she had an affair of the heart (or some junk food for the genitals) with the drummer for "Private Life" in 1985, while traveling with the band for a few gigs in Japan. In Valerie's book, she says the drummer for the band that she had an affair with was named Graig, but, she obviously called him by a fictitious name because, there's never been a drummer for the band Private Life named Graig. So, if Valerie's claims are true about her first affair with the drummer from 'Private Life' while still married to Eddie in '85? Then there's only two possible candidates it could be, 1) Lenny Campanaro - Private Life's first drummer and the guy you see in the video. Or, 2) Chris Frazier - the bands second drummer. My money is on the the first drummer (Lenny Campanaro) being the guy because, while Lenny appears to be a bit over weight for Valerie to be attracted too, and he has a rather, ineffectual speaking voice and persona, in a homosexual kind of way. Lenny was the bands first drummer after all, and that does fit the 1985 time line for the affair Valerie describes in her book. His rather, ineffectual persona, could be just that of a stereotypical "sensitive musician", who's, entirely "hetero-sexual" at the same time. Still, it's hard to believe that Valerie Bertinelli, (who was rated by 'Penthouse Magazine' in 1985, number 9 on their *all time* top 10 sexiest actresses list) would ever have an affair with that Lenny dude in this video. Okay, whatever floats your boat, I guess. What's so crazy about all this, is that while Bertinelli had the hots for the bands drummer, she was first introduced to the Louisiana, Shreveport band 'Private Life' by her brother Patrick because, he had the hots for the bands keyboardist Jennifer Blakeman. And, if rumors are true that Eddie Van Halen had the hots for the bands front woman Kelly Brizneck? Then it's like, LA's hottest music and TV scene in the 80's descending upon Louisiana to have sex with the states Shreveport music scene. Poor local bumpkins, they probably never saw the sexual hurricane blowing in from LA that was just about to hit them. Valerie's brother got "friend zoned" by the bands keyboardist, and 'Private Life' never really went anywhere after a few studio sessions. No telling what 'Private Live' might have been if Jennifer would've just put out a little bit for Valerie's brother.

Then it's all about, "Show me the MONEY!!!".

I was like that at second, I thought what sets this apart from other bands across the country. But then i don't see the problem. yeah that's rough, but EVH is going to pump it up if he produced it. He had to be cringing. "honest rock n roll"??

A friend of mine saw the OU812 tour, where Private Life opened for VH. He couldn't stop talking about how bad they sucked. Years later, I read Valerie Bertinelli's book and found out how they got that slot along with Eddie producing them (Valerie's brother was dating one of the girls in the band).

Is Danny Johnson the one who was former Alcatrazz's guitarist?
@sdime98583 жыл бұрын
Alcatrazz's guitarist were Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai I didn't know they continued on after those two left

You gotta think "80s pop". Stuff like this was ALL OVER the charts in the 80s. Out of context it seems absurd. But, in the 80s, this kinda music was popular with a lot of people.

Eddie seems so chill,yet rather uncomfortable.....then you see the cigarette......compulsively there. Which,as we always remember,were there to give the illusion of chill" Wonder at the end when he says PL are hot & sexy" if he was flirting & joking.....or ...having some affair? We will never know,plus,not our biz anyway I suppose. RIP GUITAR GREAT EDDIE VH OCT 6-2020

Eddies SO friggin coked out in this video. Hired guns....all of em (Private Life) except Jennifer. That's one of the big reasons why the record sounds so whimpy. I'll post some Private Life that will slay anything THIS version of the band recorded by mere virtue of the fact that it ROCKS
