Sad. Everytime i watch your videos i go up the mountain feeling confident enough to do SOMETHING. And then at the top of the mountain i realize it just aint happening.

I am no expert but I reckon you answered your own problem. Don't start at the top of the mountain. You need a nice mellow run to practise on first.

Shredding since 1980! That rocks. And thats whats rad about snowboarding... no matter how much you do it, there's always something more to try, and even just working towards the perfect carve is an endless pursuit. Happy shredding, and have a great season!

Could always carve perfectly, but finally started doing noserolls and 180s from all directions (at age 47), thx to this inspiring video.... (now onto 3s). The secret is to just ride switch....again and again and again. Basically learn to snowboard all over again....not fun at first, and then it gets fun!!!

Rob, I m 47, soon to be 48...I started boarding at 40 yrs old. I absolutely love it. I m intermediate level and can only board goofy...I m scared to go regular...anyway, watching Ryan is inspiring...Happy Shredding...

you have some great balance and edge control. very few riders have mastered the craft as well as you have. I like to think I am a very good rider myself, but you are an inspiration to my continuous improvement. I am on a custom X. I need to slow down and get back to playing around. spend most of my days power riding and driving my edges in deep, smooth and with style. I watched some of your videos last season and started messing around with my pops of the front and back edges. Thanks for the videos, keep riding!

Hey Ryan, thank you for sharing your videos, it is really awesome to see how easy and smooth you perform those tricks. +RR racer just use some moto hip/back armor. That's what I do. (But unfortunately my big issue is the whiplash effect when catching the heel-edge, which at high speed is a very very very bad thing. I've had so many surf/snowboard/soccer whiplash type falls and collisions, that my poor neck has arthritis and bone spurs on a few of the vertebra (shown by X-ray and MRI). sad......
