When edge highlighting things like Drukhari warriors where you can't really get the side of the brush (segmented leg armor) or the Raider (the panels) do you just use the tip and hope for the best? Very intimidating models to paint.

If you can't use the side - yes. Remember you can always neaten things up with the base colour!
