By all accounts, the Norwegians fight like Hell against the Nazis in the best way they could. It was their strategy to disrupt the occupation of Norway as much as possible. They also gave us the term., “Quisling“. This is from one famous or infamous Norwegian by that name. This is a great movie depicting war time, Norway. Norway was occupied very early in World War II. The Nazis considered Norwegians as part of the Aryan race. Most of the Norwegians escaped deportation. It was their choice to make, and no one has a right to criticize them 75 years later. end of story……

Some of the best propaganda to come out of the war. It's Hollywood. Filmed in Monterey. One of the most memorable films of my childhood. But I knew nothing of Flynn. My dad hated him. He called it show business. To him the flying tigers and the Doolittle raid was show business. His outfit was top secret and got no credit to this day.

Being an elderly Brit I found this little film entertaining but not worth keeping on any watch later list. Over the top propaganda.And the american actors didn't even try to put on a Norwegian accent.A film about the Norwegian struggle turned into a romantic badly directed film.
