the fact his philosophy applies to his own life is just so incredible. like, he was talking about how he was willing to risk it all for success, and how he had a healthy fear of death, but like his whole belief was that people only matter for what they end up doing. and he did a whole lot, too, even if it was just within a minecraft community. even if he's not alive, it's still kind of reassuring to know that even if he didn't do everything he wanted to do, but he still did what he said he would. he pressed the button with a 5% chance of real success doing minecraft videos, and i think that's so admirable. and like-- he legitimately will never die, not as long as youtube's still around. he's still the dude who sat there playing skywars gambling with the philosophy he came up with, and out of every legacy, i think even 22 year old him would've rather had it be something he enjoyed than being safe. he spent five years actually enjoying his life, and in his philosophy, i think that's the real purpose of the button with a 5% chance of success. it's about being happy with what you leave behind, not being worried about whether or not it stays forever. and ultimately, he got the best of both worlds.

When watching this video, I realized what makes techno's death so sad to me. He was really living his best life, shooting for the stars, and really just seemed to be enjoying being alive. For me, finding out that I have cancer and will die in a year wouldn't be such a big issue, because I'm not really enjoying life at the moment, and I think I would easily make peace with it. The hardest thing is to see someone so young, and so motivated, die right when they are beginning to experience big success. Technoblade succeeded in becoming a great KZbinr, he kept his motivation, and then it all had to be cut short. I'm currently in college, but I'm not sure what I want to be. I don't know if I'll be here in ten years. All I really want out of life is to find something I really care about, spend my life doing it, and be at peace. Technoblade knew what he wanted, he went for it, and now he's... gone. Sorry for the rant, I just felt like saying something, this video really hit different.
@turtletail3132 жыл бұрын
I completely know what you mean. I'm not enjoying life either, but seeing Technoblade's videos always made my day a little better. Seeing how much effort he put into everything he did, and the vitality he had in life...it inspired me to do better for myself. He reminded me that sometimes life is worth fighting for. And now that he's gone, I feel even more hopeless than before. I don't know why it's always the good ones that are taken from us too soon. It's just not fair.

Man, it hurts watching this video now. I'm the complete opposite of Techno. Always going for the safe route, being overly realistic with my decisions and never really going for risks. It even got to a point where I was just unhappy with everything that I did and nothing interested me anymore other than wrapping a rope around my neck. Then I came across this random guy with hot elbows blabbing on and on about things while playing a block game and somehow, for some odd reason, he inspired me to try to get out of my shell and actually do things. His philosophy of shooting for the stars is something I decided to borrow for myself. And wouldn't you know it, I found a sliver of happiness even though I know for a fact that my decisions are just generally bad and would probably lead to ruin. I am well aware of the fact that I might just end up in a worse place than I already am in, but the prospect of an incredibly bright future that I couldn't even dream of being possible is just too tempting for me. Techno's philosophy in life fills me with motivation I've never felt before and I would like to thank the Blood God for leaving me a gift I will never forget. Thank you Techno. You gave me motivation in my darkest times. Rest now, King. May we meet you again in the stars.

Somehow, I never saw this video until now. Throughout most of my undergraduate degree, I have been watching Technoblade. It started off as background noise, then developed into being my favourite part of my evenings as I watched him after all my essays or readings were done for the night, my treat after a long day. I always thought Techno was brilliant- not just for his playstyle, but his approach to life. Witty, light-hearted, creative... I never knew he wanted to be a writer. I cried when I heard him say that. As I soon begin my journey as a graduate student, I can't help but remember all the times I listened to Techno as I wrote my work: long and tedious papers ranging from textual analysis to presentation responses, up to my own dissertation. I consider myself to be a writer. Maybe not a fun one (I study English literature- but I do not write it) but nevertheless, a writer. I really hope I can keep his spirit alive through my works. He's right: always guess, stay curious, take every opportunity and leave nothing blank. That is the very spirit of academia. So, thank you, Techno. I owe you so much. :)

Statistically, being a youtuber has a low chance of making you popular, but being a MINECRAFT youtuber (it was still somewhat popular, but wasn't surging in a viral age of popularity in 2012-2013 and later in 2019). He was really fighting against very stupid odds, even before minecrafts popularity surge the only reason he managed to start reaching toward a million subscribers was because of a video where people accidentally autoplayed it after falling asleep from watching one of his videos to fall asleep (and of course his funny humor and comedic timing). This small coincidence.. gained him the boost he needed, it was his first video to reach a million views, he kept on growing. Minecraft, by some grace of god, became more popular in the streaming area, it became trendy again (it always had lots of players, but wasn't always 'popular'). Then he slowly began an extremely unlikely rise in popularity, playing with infamous superstars around the world, his crawl was surprisingly slow despite his instant notoriousness. It took time for people to warm up to him, if at all. He shot for the stars and he made it. I still miss him.

I’ve never been one to cry about something, no matter how tragic or traumatic. But this has gotten me down low for a couple of days now. I try not to cry, but it’s impossible. I don’t want to accept that he’s gone, but what choice is there. Such an amazing man, such a respectable warrior. The numerous intricacies this video concerned have done nothing more than hurt me, whilst simultaneously inspiring me to go beyond. May he live in the hearts of man forever, and may his voice be a beacon of hope.

Same. I never cry. However Technoblade’s death made me cry. Very confusing.

Techno is such an inspiration legit as a teen with adhd i relate so much to him 3 years ago... he's got so many aspirations and such a positive philosophy .. I've never had such a long-term goal and just vibe in the moment but maybe I should change that mindset

I didn't think I'd be able to come back and watch more of his videos and not cry. But this made me realize so much. And know what? I'm going to shoot for the stars in everything I do. He's right, why shoot lower when you can go so much farther? Thank you Techno, for everything you've done.

I'm so sad that I never came across Technoblade until I heard that he had died. I've been watching so many of his videos these past few days and this one connects with me on such a crazy level. His humility is endless, and his mind was so ineluctably grounded on what many would discourage and think to be impossible. He clearly never doubted his destiny and it's amazing what he accomplished before dying so young. R.I.P Techno, your words, humor, and philosophy will live on and continue to inspire countless people.. beyond what you could have ever imagined

His philosophy is a cure to procrastination. Procrastination happens when you're scared of doing something because it's important, but if you care less about the risk, you would do better instead of not doing anything.
@keenan45362 жыл бұрын
thx man, this is something good to think about! maybe i can procrastinate less if i shoot for the stars!

16:28 this part just caught me so off guard, it makes you realize how much this situation probably felt unrealistic to techno and how hard it hit him knowing that everyone can be in an incurable condition at some point and that doctors might not always save they're patients. RIP Techno :'(

I’ve always been a really anxious person, but after what’s happened to Techno..I think myself and maybe lots of other people need to realize how fast life goes by, how precious it is and to take his philosophy in this video and live it out: take every opportunity you get. Always guess, even if you might get it wrong. I wish I could thank him personally for everything he’s done for me. At least he lived a happy life. Rest well, Techno.
@nansifyanimations2 жыл бұрын
Exactly this happened to me rn. I always looked up on techno and like… i now… like. Noticed how fast time really goes. And how i am still the same as last 5 to 7 years. I am the same. Not in knowledge but looks and way of living ? The same. No way i stay like that. I will go cut my hair, i will go dye it i will go bye new clothes i will start working on my pages and start doing more. At least not for me only but for techno. Me and my friends we like to say how he won god and now looks at us from god’s throne. My friends and i say “ he entertained us all his life, now… it’s our time to entertain him.” And i like that. I was so sad and broken but this ? Gave me hope that i will. Continue. I will do more. And i hope you all too get to feel like this and like. Grow. :”)

Watching this now, after what has happened, I've come to realize this is probably my favorite Technoblade video. I didn't really want to talk about his passing on random videos of his, but I would just like to say a few things here on this video, sorry that it'll be more than 5 sentences Techno but I assured you it isn't a boring book. I love this video because it really delves into his heart and what he truly wanted to be in the future, and it's really beautiful seeing this part of Techno. I'm glad you were able to achieve some of your dreams, and you really were a great KZbinr, and for one, this video does serve as a philosophical writing piece. I myself too do wish to be a writer someday, maybe even pursue making youtube videos too, REGARDLESS, I'm glad I watched this video. It strengthened a belief within me that everyone should have, that you should always strive to be the best, and shoot for the stars and for greatness. You really weren't as dumb as you thought you were, you were much smarter than you gave yourself credit. The only thing I hoped you could do before your passing was to find faith in Islam, but alas, only Allah will decide your fate and I hope you may pass on to a better place. Farewell, and thank you for all your videos and the entertainment and impact you have bought on all our lives. So long Technoblade, you absolute nerd, so long. And bye to you too🫂.
