Edinburgh University - Psychoeducation Intervention for Children and Young People

The ADHD Women Project www.adhdwomen.eu (under ADHD Europe) has been participating in focus groups to give our voices on behalf of people living with ADHD, their families & carers to contribute to the future research for ADHD. Many thanks to the 'Child Life and Health/Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences' department at the University of Edinburgh represented by Ailbhe McKinney (PhD Researcher) and her supervisor, Sinead Rhodes (Senior Research Fellow) for the colloboration discussions and providing us with this useful information for society.
Researchers from Child Life and Health, at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland have been developing the Edinburgh Psychoeducation Intervention for Children and Young People (EPIC). EPIC takes an individualised ‘tool-kit’ approach to child development. It aims to facilitate optimal learning, behaviour, and wellbeing in children and young people.
We are submitting this video in support of ADHD Awareness Month 2022 “ADHD: Understanding A Shared Experience’’ to better inform the public that support and intervention does not need to wait on diagnosis. In this video Dr Sinead Rhodes explains the principles of EPIC.
